yo brehs, how much was blockbuster throughout the years, i remember the prices being way too high near the end of their dying years

how much was games and movie in their heyday?

when I was a kid, it was $3 to rent a VHS movie and $4 to rent a NES game.

then they changed it for the new release movies where u had to return them the next day. they were $2 then.

As far as this thread, people don't necessarily miss Blockbuster. They miss anticipation. They miss not knowing. The internet destroyed that shyt. Not saying it's good or bad, but it is what it is. At one point I lived 2-3 blocks from a Blockbuster and I'd be in there daily. If the game or movie was wack, you caught an L....but the L was worth it because occasionally you'd get some :whoo: shyt, and the feeling from that trumped any possible L from randomly grabbing shyt off the shelf.

That's impossible nowadays.

A side note, and I've mentioned this before, does anyone remember Blockbuster Music? They'd let you listen to entire albums before you copped them, which was unheard of at the time.

Fred.
This right here. I miss the surprises and letdowns too. The rainy days you couldn't hoop so u would go by Blockbuster and pick some shyt based on the cover and then swing by Dairy Queen so u can have a Blizzard why u watch the movie. I remember staring at the Booty Call cover a few extra seconds too.

So many stories. I must have rented Transformers The Animated Movie like 20 times. I was another who rented all the old wrestling VHS tapes so I knew about shyt that happened like 5-6 years before I was born. Rented a new game for N64 like every other day too.

I'm going to miss the easy access to all the old movies, martial arts flicks like people were saying, etc... Netflix doesn't have half that shyt :snoop:

you li' fukks are missing out breh. :to:

They saw the power of this thread and decided to just put the rest of the blockbusters out of their misery :to:
