I go to a 24/7 gym and I usually go late at around 10pm but lately I've been going later. It's like the usual session that would last 2hours takes just over an hour. No waiting for shyt, just straight to using what I want.

The instructors already cleaned the gym up and put all the weights back on the rack nicely. The gym equipments brand new. It just feels like I've got a giant home gym with no one in there.

It's very relaxing too.

What are your reasons for going to the gym late?

I go around 1 am. Been doing it for a min. Like you said it’s pretty much empty and I can knock out all my lifts without waiting for any equipment. I work nights/ odd hours so I’m a night owl so I’m used to being up at that time.

I usually go at 11pm...Usually empty.

Which is great because I can make loud ass noises during heavy sets  and I can do Barbell hip thrusts without looking weird :dame:.
:francis::dead: I feel ya on the weighted hip-thrusts. On the same day that I exercise my core I also do hip-thrusts as well as a dragon flag.

The gym I was going to was a 24 hour joint but then they moved locations and went back to regular hours. But yeah, I would hit it around 10:30-11:00 and be in there for like an hour. I would have the whole place to myself. Tell me why I would get aggravated when I heard another person come in there lol

I just like going in there without distractions and being able to hit my routine without any waiting or anything. Honestly it's the same for me if I decide to go to the gym at around 1:30 in the afternoon. I basically try to avoid peak hours which is usually right after work or people trying to get it out the way first thing in the morning.

The gym I'm at now I was a member before; they close at midnight during the week, but if I'm there around 10:00, it's usually hardly anyone in there.

I try to go at about 3AM but sometimes I slip to 4 and there's a couple other guys that show up at 4. I been doing Stronglifts 5x5 and I can usually knock the whole workout out in about 35 mins and hit 20 mins of cardio so if i go at 3 I miss the other people.

My gym closes at 11PM weekdays, 7PM on weekends. I try to go between 10AM or 2PM for the reasons already listed, not having to wait for equipment, etc. I only go to the Gym on weekdays.

Since I been going to the Gym I have only went once to the downstairs area where the free weights/dumbbells are at. I usually stick with the Cardio and Weight Machines upstairs. I have trouble getting up early, usually I don't wake up until 2PM most days and by the time I get ready and make it to the Gym its already fairly crowded :francis: I remember one time damn near ALL of the treadmills were in use at once! :damn: The leg machines are ALWAYS busy.

When I was at 24 hour fitness, I used to go at like 10pm+
shyt is GOAT to workout. It's mainly serious minded people. I have power racks to myself, I setup a rest area in between sets. I take my time.

Sometime chat it up peeps.

There's no traffic on the streets. Takes my like 2-3 minutes to drive and I can always hit up the supermarket on the way home.

I basically stopped going because sometimes I'm so busy with work and tired from work that I can't pull myself to drive to the gym. Plus the parking situation sucked. I kept running into a situation where my ticket was coming up invalidated(gym is connected to a mall) then I would be stuck for like 10-30 minutes at like 12am :wtf:

Parking attendants kept taking forever and hassling me for cash. I was like wtf, I just came from the gym and I don't carry cash, because all my purchases are by card or online....

Anyways I've been working out at the fitness center in my apartment complex for about 3 months, along with my pull-up bar in my doorway. Thinking about going back because I miss the power rack. I'll just park on the street for now on.

Also brehs and brehettes, if there's a 24 hour fitness around you go to costco and buy a two year membership for $400.

That comes out to $17 a month. Can't beat that.

in college i was a 9pm type person, but as a normal 9-5er, hell nah. my primary workouts are at an independent spot so i'm there in the morning. i supplement with stuff at 24 hour fitness, but i'll go there on friday afternoons/evenings and early on weekend mornings so i still avoid peak crowds

The gym that I use is a 10 minute walk away (1 minute in the car) so going after work isn't a problem at anytime literally. Why go in the morning and be tired for the rest of the day when you can go at 10-12 at night, get home then sleep off some of those DOMS instead of aching all day at work.

I also use the pressure point roller in the gym for 5 minutes after I finish and stretch. I couldn't do those things during the day have me looking like a weirdo lol. But at night theres like 3-4 other people so it's a feels easier imo.

I don't even have the energy to jump outta bed in the morning let alone to do a workout as the first thing. My body needs to have a few meals before I do stuff like that. fukk am I doing deadlifts on a empty stomach

to each their own. i like working out before work since it frees my evenings to do whatever i want (which these days is mostly going home and laying on the couch lol) i like having it out the way vs having a long day at work and then trying to muster up energy to put into the gym. i also prefer to workout fasted, don't like the way i feel with food in my stomach, even when i do do an evening workout, i stop eating 2-2.5 hours before.

and why would i be tired in the morning? i go to bed on time to get enough sleep to wake up - sleep by 10 most nights, 11 if i'm fukking around watching inside the nba, and up at 5 :yeshrug: i feel so much better during the day from AM workouts. same with the weekends, i get up and workout early, if i'm tired, i'll go home and go back to sleep or i'll run all my errands and still be back home in time to shower and go to brunch/have a social life.

also, i see a whole lot of people foam rolling, more men than women actually, so not sure why you think you'd look weird doing that.

Thats the only reason i joined a 24hour gym

my work schedule is fukking ass and exhausting (usually wake at 630, work by 8am, home at like 6-7. During busy season we get home at like 12 :fifok: )

So I usually go 3 times per week. Friday/Sat/Sunday.

Working out at night is just so much better. Less distractions (if any), more focus, everything is basically free to use, etc.

I hated going other times cause i'd have to (usually) wait for equipment. usually a waste of time.

5-630AM or 11PM and onwards is the best for me
