Are you seriously that dense that you can't make the connection? Completely ignoring the fact that caffeine is a known performance booster (including in athletic training which you seem to only care about) and that caffeine is the major component of most of these pre-workouts whether they admit it or not--completely ignoring that--are you not able to understand that lifting weights = performance boosting and muscle building and for some people taking a pre-workout helps them lift weights with more intensity? How again are they hurting themselves by taking a pre-workout? You are being completely stubborn for no reason. You are ignoring real world results and basic logic in order to spout some clean-living rhetoric. Of course we would all love to get perfect sleep every night and refresh our bodies to the point that a stimulant is not needed. I didn't take stimulants for the first 9 months of my current gym cycle. I started taking them as an experiment based on this thread and have found my workouts to be improving drastically.
Stop being dense.
Do you even lift?
That is the performance enhancement, not the stim. If you need intensity from a stim, you ain't training right first and foremost, your mind isn't into the training itself, its so easy to psyche yourself up for a workout, taking a sup to complete a proper workout is counterintuitive.
The bodybuilding supplement industry convinced you that you need a pre workout. Caffine has always been a staple for extending athletic performance, not as a crutch for proper training.
They know the addictive properties of caffeine and utilize that knowledge to its fullest effect, soon you won't be able to work out unless you take your pre workout drink, with all kinds of nervous disorders and jitters unless you get your next hit. They are dealing dope and you don't even know it.
Take a stim if you need to stay up all night clubbing, not to friggin train your mind and body.
