What state do you live in? In California it's hard af, because we have the lottery system that's why I don't want to be a nurse. I'm not waiting 2-4 years just to get into the program

That's only if you go the community college route.
Get a loan, you'll pay off soon as you get hired, it's a good investment.

I've been a nurse for over 6 years now. I make my own schedule, have access to unlimited overtime and I make over 6 figures a year. Its mind boggling the inaccurate perceptions people still have about this field.

Occasionally, but my main gig doesnt trip off hrs, so unless I'm tired I stay for 16. I hustle at a few locations, so it varies.
People disregard nursing thinking about the hassles of patient care, when this biggest headache for me has always been the administrative side of things and the ungodly amount of paperwork / documentation we have to be responsible for. I'd gladly double patient workload and contact if it meant less time writing notes, calling doctors, and typing reports.
