Top memories was being there the night Hype Williams shot the video for DMX Get At Me Dog. Onyx had performed, Cam came out and performed Pull It with X, Lyor & Russel were in the crowd. This was during All Star Weekend, so mad celebs and athletes were in attendance. Also there was the album release party for Nore's debut album that got so crazy, the Tunnel was shut down for alnost that whole summer

You see this is what's wrong with this site right now. Nobody gives a shyt about Dreams, if you do make a thread about it yourself and try to convince posters to dap you and agree with your post. Dream broke how many artists? How many songs? Who were the legendary performers who came out of there? Answer. Zero.

I used to go when my boy Andre promoted, he used to be ahead of his time by dressing in suits , well the Tunnel was grimy as hell and I remember we had to eyes in the back our heads because Peter G paid his promoters half cash and half check. Many a night had to have Beast the security walk us to the corner. My boy Joe got sold bad weed by these Haitian dudes I knew . Needless to say they got dealt with the next week. You could bring in box cutters , guns if you promoted or were friends with the door staff.
Jessica R was more gangster than any rapper or street hood that ever walked in there and there is nobody who can tell me differently. If you had any interaction with her, you had to a have a recording to make sure she didn't change her story.

i don't think any person can honestly say they remember him
unless them having some sorta personal experience - like him throwing u out or breaking up a fight

but i do remember the bouncers/security out front wearing them fluorescent yellow wind breakers

I remember one of my older guy friends that used to bounce around the city said that he used to work one or two times with Vin at Club USA on 47st and Bway back in the days. I think that was the name of the club.

The ony crazy story i have from the tunnel really is one night as i was leaving, two guys got into a fight and of of the guys friends was trying to drag him away just to walk back in and party when two huge bouncers rush the friend that didn't do anything and stomped up and beat him with walkie talkies. He had a white shirt and it was red after that. They didn't even fukk with the two guys fighting. So fukking strange.

Blackplanet. All these Facebook related bios always say Myspace was the precursor even tho Blackplanet was the profile website that took us into the new Millennium. They dont acknowledge because of the name. Whats crazy is i have no choice but to acknowledge Blackplanet because it was 2 whiteboys from the military who weren't wiggers who put me onto Blackplanet in 1999.

BP really was the shyt back in the days but don't forget Migente and AsianAvenue.

i practically was known (not some big time but just a usual face..baby face and used to be with few heads) over there in the summer and winter of circa 1996-98..
we did work but work turned into playing and party..
i brought my cousin, the boxer david tua one sunday where terror squad, lord tariq/gunz and few other acts were destroying the stage...my man david was like "get me the fukk out of this shyt hole.."
too many bad boys and madness kicking off, he was uncomfortable incase somebody starts on him but he was ok and many recognised him and showed him love..
one OG from brooklynn bought him a bottle of Moet and few grams of coke..i took the coke and supplied on the ice cold champagne..

"planet earth,is my place of birth.."
I used to travel to nyc a lot during the 90's. I used to be at the cage on w4th shooting hoop during the day [ in fact I was on an episode of yo mtv raps when fab 5 freddie interviewed ed og,if anyone has that episode plz post!] I used to go to grant's tomb on wednesdays, soul kitchen on mondays & the tunnel on sundays. "..and the bytches.."-g money voice tremendous bytches at all those places. as for tunnel memories, the first time I went a female took me and it was $40 to get in [she paid] we bucked the long as line and I had to take my shoes off and go thru metal detectors like they have at the airport. once inside it was a mufukkin rap paradise! she told me the dj got popular djing at gay clubs [funkmaster flex]. mufukkaz smoked weed freely, the drinks were strong. the bathrooms were unisex. the place was wall to wall hip hop energy. known rappers freely roamed thru the crowd enjoying the vibe. I could continue with some specifics but I won't. trust it was dope..and a moment in time that will never come back.
