I did 6pm to 6am for a year straight. 3 days on 4 days off then rotate(4days on 3 days off).

Felt good at first, but then my sleep schedule started getting hectic and Istarted feeling it in my heart even with me going to the gym. The worst part about it was having to be the guy that called my coworkers during crazy hours of the night if something broke.(IT work).

Enjoyed the countless hours of movies and lurking the coli while getting paid though. :wow:

12 hour shifts 7 days on 7 days off. Hospital gets crazy so the night goes by quickly. Just got off and damn I'm tired :wow:
Same for me...

I've been working 7on7off for the last two months. I'm also the clinical coordinator too. Last night was the last of this rotation.

Cons: i get off at 6am, get home by 7 and usually sleep till 12ish, nights can get a lil steady but its not like working day shift. Also since I'm the only pharmacist in the pharmacy at night, I have no one to double check my nicu orders so I have to be extra careful on EVERYTHING.

Pros. I essentially only work 2 weeks a month. More money and I can get more stuff done in the day time. 7 days off, I can take vacations and its far less politics on night shift.

Breh I work in the so called "mainstream media" and 90% of anything news related that is actual work occurs after 5-6pm. So while I don't work overnight, I'm usually in the office til midnight most nights. The media business is insanely stressful so you leave work feeling drained. Some people go home to their families (if they have families) but others just go to the bar and drink because it's almost pointless to go home and sleep.

I work 7PM-7AM in a hospital 3 days a week. Sometimes I might work an extra day to make a little extra money. Work every other weekend. Sucks sometimes because a lot of times when my friends want to do something I have to work but that shift differential is nice and I have a lot of free time during the day time to handle business.
