Is that a 1200? Congrats but don't put too much money in the suspension because the frame geometry is notoriously odd.

I would suggest revalving forks with different oil for your weight and setting sag first and foremost.

Thanks, which one did you get? Shoei is my goto for helmets, had an RF900 back in the day, moved to an RF1200, now got the X14.

:salute: Congrats on the bike, most of all THE GEAR, so happy to see it. I work in the powersports industry and gear is so overlooked by riders. Seen far to many accidents........
I picked up the RF1200, ordered a Sena and transition lens. My opinion, Shoe helmets are the best for the price point. Im sure the 1k full faces blow them out of the water though....cant justify paying that much. Would rather spend it on upgrades...

That lens was over $100, I usually go through Revzilla for helmets, they have a good return policy....

Pretty much why I got a Triumph instead of an Aprilia. I wanted to get the Tuono 660 but the horror stories of having your bike in the shop for months waiting for parts from Italy scared me off. I may get one as a second bike eventually, but then again I might just go with the Street Triple instead.
Ive heard nothing but praise for the Street Triple.

I like my cruiser, (Lowrider S), but the sport bikes seem really appealing.

Nice! I used to have the Sena units, I switched to Cardo a few years back when they came with the Packtalk line with the JBL speakers. Them transition lenses will spoil you, had one as well for my RF1200, got it for the X14. I'm guilty of splurging on helmets, got an Alpinestars Supertech R10 ordered with the transition shield.

Pretty dope. You bought it with the digital instrument cluster or did you install that yourself? Either way it looks clean, like the lil brother of my boy's CBR1000.

Also, yeah aftermarket fairings are a pain in the ass to install, I learned that with my ZX-6R. But they're so cheap and come out still looking nice so it's still really good value.

I took a few pics of my S1K but it's been raining all afternoon so I still haven't had a chance to get a video yet.

funny story....first time I ever put on aftermarket fairings I went out and tried to show off right....
lifted her up and when I came back down my entire right fairing came unclipped and was flapping in the breeze :mjlol:

looked like such an a$$hole :russ:

my ex had to come thru with some zipties so I could get back home (pre-trailer days) :dead:

I don't see the problem with financing one. The used market for motorcycles sucks right now. I don't know if it's always been that way, but used bikes nearly cost the same as used bikes minus some of those dealer fees. People are even asking outrageous prices for older bikes. I'd rather just get new at that point and have a warranty and know that I'm not inheriting someone else's problems.

For under 7k, cruisers is the Vulcan S, which is a bigger 650 style cruiser, or a Kawasaki Eliminator which is 450 cc but significantly lighter. In terms of sports bikes, there's stuff like the Ninja 500 or z500. I'd probably just go up a g so you can get something like a z650.

Before you buy anything though, go to the dealership and sit on several bikes and see which one is comfortable to you. If you'renot comfortable, you're not going to want to ride. Typically, something like a naked or sports tourer will be the most comfortable, then cruisers, and sports bikes are usually among the least comfortable with their leaned forward seating position.

I've financed my past 2 bikes.....I like keeping my cash :manny:

unless you know the Ryder who you're copping from I think its 2 risky to buy used if you're in the super sport game.....

theres 2 many bozos out here

@shutterguy you been outside or what ....

been having nothing but good runs man....taking a lot of time of this summer to get as much as I can in..... feeling good :ohlawd:

Oh yea, been alternating between the bike and the convertible. Bike been racking up miles just about every nice day. Going on a trip next weekend with some riders to Pittsburgh, ride through the city. Gotta get the drone out so I can get some follow footage.
