just burning through tires over here on the west coast. :o:

I’m pretty much sold on the Road Glide when the time comes for me to cross over, I wanna do some real cross country riding, came across a series on YouTube few years ago couple brothers on the road the entire month of March Big Cell I think was his name
WestCoast livin :myman:..I should’ve tried one of the touring bikes when I had a chance, I was rushing for time so only focused on the bikes I was considering buying this year, Low Rider S and the StreetBob.

Haven't gone through the 30 pages of this thread yet, but quick question from someone who has no experience riding motorcycles and is trying to avoid accidents.

Anyone ever used knee/shin guards or elbow pads? What kind do you recommend? Are there any thin enough, yet "protective" enough to fit underneath one's clothing? I don't really care too much about looking corny at first, I'd rather be safe.

Amazon sells a couple of different brands, and it's only something that I'd look into using in the beginning until I got comfortable riding, but any recommendations would be appreciated.

Alpinestars and EVS are good brands that makeknee and elbow guards at a pretty reasonable price. I actually may start to use them myself under my jeans as opposed to wearing riding specific pants all the time.

If I haven’t mentioned this already, the EK brand chains with the screw type link, is the muthafukkin truth.:wow:

It was damn near 70 in NY/NJ on Wednesday. Felt soo good being able to scratch the itch and ride around for hours. Riding really is an addiction :wow:

I haven't even tapped into the full potential of my bike yet and I'm already thinking about getting a 2nd one :snoop:

:myman:, same here no ABS too . Just me and the bike ( 2013 Gsxr750) .. what’s the maintenance like on a triumph tho :lupe:

:salute:

You got the bike that I want to get next! I saw an 07 close by me for like 6k.....soooo tempting. Was thinking about a liter bike but that's probably overkill on the streets. 750s got more usable torque than the 600s so that's what I'm leaning towards. Heard the gsxr's are more comfortable than the other supersports too. How do you like it?

I've had the bike for less than a year so I haven't had any issues so far.....just changed the fluids, tires, brake pads when I got her. There's a somewhat expensive valve check job that was supposed to be done already but dude at the shop said it wasn't necessary yet and that I could wait a lil bit longer. Based on research I did before I got the bike, Triumphs are supposed to be pretty reliable as long as you maintain them. Not as cheap to own as the Japanese bikes though.

The gsxr are dope , compared to the other sport bikes it is more comfortable but it is still basically a street legal motogp bike.. I got mine around 6 grand too so you might be able to get something a little newer unless you really want that 07.. the 750 is that perfect balance way more torque so it’s easier to use in stop and go traffic . I’m also looking at getting a cruiser and trading the sport bike in

That's good to know. Somebody already scooped up that 07......probably a sign that I should wait. Main reason I want one is that I've always wanted a super sport and also to have something to take to the track and to do some canyon carving. The Street triple would handle that well, I'd just prefer a more aggressive stance when doing that stuff and keep the Triple with the more relaxed ergos for commuting/fun around town. I'm gonna get a cruiser myself in a couple of years.
