Depends on where you live. Ive only ever met one man like this in my life and he was a brotha from griffin Georgia , in the deep South way far outside of Atlanta metro.

He was a male nurse that basically lived at the hospital doing doubles and only brought home 70k. His wife just stayed at home having babies. Last I checked, dude had 6 kids in his 150k house a few miles from the griffin UGA agriculture campus.

My younger brother works in Cyber Security and his main job covers him his wife and their 4 boys but it's definitely tight. He's been working a second job though the last couple of years while his wife finishes up her nursing degree. They live out in Frederick, MD. If he lived in Kansas like me depending on where he chose to live it would be much easier. But, that is the cost of living differences that can happen anywhere.

Really!? It's so far away tho. :dahell:

You could make a legit argument for McDonough or Jonesboro but griffin is like a half hour away from both these places which are already 30 min outside of Atlanta proper.

What happens if y'all divorce? Do you feel she's owed half the house despite you paying the mortgage, property tax, and maintenance? I'm sure you could get maid for cleaning, and a personal chef for cooking. Do you feel she's owed half your retirement funds?

The downside I'm seeing is $400k careers dont grow on trees. And we need fields like garbage men, no way they'll make $400k.

I just don't see any feasible way to pay all the bills unless the man is cream of crop.
