We don't see it that way in the south, I'm from the Westside of the A, not even 5 minutes from downtown. Grew up hearing police sirens and street traffic all night, riding the train to school. But I can pull up down state or Alabama somewhere with the quickness. My city known for Black nightlife, but I had no problems hitting the hwy on a whim at 9pm and popping up in some hood spot in Montgomery 3 hours later like fukk it. It's easy because small town to big town, small city to big city, a good bit of the spots you go in the south got Black people in large numbers. Yeah it's a difference in the pace of life, but at the end of the day Black folks doing the same shyt everywhere, and if my people in the building, I'm turning up. Don't care if we hitting up a club in Miami or doing Fri fish fry in Tuscaloosa. East coast folks can't really relate to that, aint too many brehs outside the big cities up there, only spot that comes to mind would be a Rochester NY. A mid size city off by itself that's just Black as fukk for no reason it seem like. Well it's about 20+ of those in the south, 75K+ cities that's at least 40% Black. Not even counting the random all Black small towns like Pahokee FL. Don't matter if it's ATL or Birmingham or fukking Clarkesville Tenn, the south is the south. Same shyt going on. We ain't with that dividing and categorization shyt of Black folks down here, we leave that to the white folks and yall up north nikkas.
And let me clarify and say east coast up north, cuz midwest nikkas dont move like that.
Yall talk shyt and act surprised when somebody say something back to yall like they not proud of they square the same way you proud of yours. We call that throwing rocks and hiding your hands down bottom.
