my guns are in my name, but my wife has her FOID. I suggest you get one if you wanna get a gun, cuz it can take 2-3 months for it to process and come back. especially now that concealed carry is coming, even more people will be trying to get that FOID.

I tried shooting a gun, and I got scared
but I am interested in carrying maybe a taser, or pepper spray...If any one would recommend any good ones I would appreciate it.
Firing weapons isn't natural, for a male or a female. Just pulling up to a gun range still gives me chills, people are firing live ammo, and the shyt is loud, You hear bussing outside the entrance way. Its actually better once you get inside and get your ear plugs, ear protectors and eye protection. but until you do it or have grown up around it/doing it(country cats would murder the shyt out of the average gun owner/city person etc..) its something you have to get use too.

After one evening running into a creep ball on the greenline heading home, I went on ebay to see if I could purchase a taser for the low. Every post said tasers are illegal in IL
Searched it and by law they is. I was like

My lady has a snub nose .357 and she hates shooting it because of the recoil and its small so it makes it worst especially if you have small hands. She now carries my Taurus Millenium Pro .45 and it has a huge punch being a .45 without all of the recoil. It's a inexpensive pistol but is of good quality.
Never go below a 9mm, you need something with stopping power. You don't want to shoot someone with a .380 and have them still rushing you for whatever they're trying to get.

Yeah, I don't know where that I'd rather have a taser, fight a nikka with my fist than have a 22 cal shyt came from. I promise you, you could be Shaq size and once you get hit with a 22 you not going to keep coming at me like you Jason or some shyt.

that's what always blows me about cats firing guns in movies. like for instance in the movie heat at the bank robbery scene, they are all firing machine guns out the car windows. a regular pistol is loud as shyt in a confined area. 3 dudes firing machine guns at the same time would probably damage your eardrums.
the glasses don't always work. I was at the range once, and a hot ass shell popped up and fell between my glasses on my face. that shyt was hot as hell.
