bro is it just me or are you bored all the time here too? Idk how old u are but im early 20s and I literally hop on the metro to new york to hang with my friends there any chance i get.

CT needs to build a megamall, new line of bars or some sort of attraction . I always wonder what do all the young adults do here. Vandome is played out for nightlife.

How do you guys feel about Blue Hills, Black Rock and Windsor?

Black Rock i don't know.

Blue Hills? Childhood home is off Blue Hills. A side street.

Has a bad rep, kinda deserved at times but most overblown.
Windsor is a good town that's mostly white still, but definitely is being spiced up over time.
Can raise a family n expose the kids to finer things but also risk raising oreos.

yeah gotham is the best club in new haven for black/spanish young (20 yr old) vibes imo. Vandome is for the older ratchets lmao (29-35)

ppl still go to vandome ....that place was too fukkery filled...even for me...every single time i used to go there a fukking fight broke out and the security would OD so hard with searching cats because of said violence..the only other place worse than that was that strip club near the wharf next to the lesbian joint where shots rang out and my homegirl's sister got killed

bridgeport is straight up the bronx of CT. New Haven is Queens, hartford is brooklyn. Stamford is Manhattan. And everything outside of those cities is practically upstate new york.

Westport is like 95% percent white. I definitely ain't doing that. Even a decent mix is fine but nowhere where the majority is white or when my daughter has to start school in a couple years and be the only black face in class...

I'm in East Flatbush Brooklyn but work in Manhattan. No new job but dont mind to commute to Manhattan everyday. Especially depending on area. Based off google maps, some areas are less than a hour drive to my job

You wanna be as close to NY as possible for your commute. Unfortunately, that means you gotta pay more. I grew up in CT. The traffic from about Fairfield to NYC is some of the worst in the country. The Merritt Parkway and 95 are parking lots during rush hour. You pretty much have to take the train in. I personally wouldn't live any further than Stamford. You might be able to pull off Norwalk, which is also a more diverse city.

Yeah it is but it wasn't always like that, I'm in my early 40's, when I start hanging out in the late 90's to mid to late 2000, there was all different spots to hang at from clubs to bars, even downtown was lit before they closed the mall then built up Milford Mall, Hamden Plaza and North Haven. Even the Freddy Fixer was lit back then, they would even promote it on Hot97 . I would always say the best thing about New Haven besides the food is that it's an hour and some change away from everywhere, you can go up to the Casion, New York, Springfield, or Rhoda Island.
