MASS is lowkey becoming MUCH MUCH better for blacksCT of all places
I rather move to Massachusetts to be honest. Way more varied housing prices, lesser taxes, more Black people, and way more varied job market
I'm from New Haven,CT born and raised. Majority black and brown cities in CT are New Haven, Hartford, Bridgeport, Waterbury & New London. I would say Bridgeport, Waterbury & New London is probably the cheapest areas to live in, but also nothing to do.
whats good my fellow new haven breh.
bro is it just me or are you bored all the time here too? Idk how old u are but im early 20s and I literally hop on the metro to new york to hang with my friends there any chance i get.
CT needs to build a megamall, new line of bars or some sort of attraction . I always wonder what do all the young adults do here. Vandome is played out for nightlife.
Casinos
I just read ur OP breh. Low crime, being around black ppl, and family vibes?
West Haven , Westville neighborhood of New Haven and Hamden definitely.
fyi : new haven is a ‘minority’ majority city. African American and spanish vibes the most.
To line it up for a NY breh:
bridgeport is straight up the bronx of CT. New Haven is Queens, hartford is brooklyn. Stamford is Manhattan. And everything outside of those cities is practically upstate new york.

How do you guys feel about Blue Hills, Black Rock and Windsor?
From new haven, thats an 45-60 min drive with good traffic . And that doesnt answer the everyday “fun” stuff to do. In NY u can spend years trying new restaurants, new cafes, new bookstores, new lounges etc. if you grew up in new haven, or any city here, theres nothing “fresh” or new to find out. Its not a state geared towards the young social crowd i feel.
But i guess theres only so much a small state like us can really offer.
Im probably going to move outta here to Houston, or Atlanta soon enough. New York spoiled me with the fast life, and tons of people to network and grow with.
