always with the grain when using a razor. i go against the grain when using an electric shaver, but always with some type of after shave. i have a norelco 9000 that lets me get a decently close shave without bumps

I shave basically everyday and have minimal to no razor bumps. Shaving cream and clippers are the way to go, breh.​

For me, i stopped shaving entirely. Only use clippers on my face now. Did wonders, haven't seen a bump in a long time.

Used to trim everything off at first too, which worked fine, although nowadays i just keep a stubble length beard at all times.

Honestly Op, this it right here. Used to be in the same boat as you when I used to shave with a razor.
I grew my beard out while washing my face everyday and exfoliating 2x a week for like 2 months then shaved it down with Andis clippers. Best choice I made. Haven't touched a razor since

There are some rollers you can get at the barbers but they wil dry up your skin if you use it to much
