Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

I don't think @krackdagawd is trying to have his son turn pro, just getting his little man to train @ something for disciplines sake :lupe:

I boxed when I was younger, but it was mostly for the training and something to do, I never thought I'd be a pro or nothing.

We doing this again? He could've just stopped playing. No football player alive could wake up the day after and pretend like the sport wasn't gonna fukk their life up when they got older.

If he has sons he can tell them to play baseball or swim or soccer or basketball instead. I have no sympathy for him though.

Why is that though? There's been numerous cases of HS football players dying on the field and not one in the NFL. :dwillhuh:

technique probably has something to do with it.. nfl players, for the most part, know how to hit and get hit.

the level of medical attention is another. pros are looked after by high trained medical staff with state of the art equipment right in the locker room. a lot of high schools don't even have a full time trainer.

if an nfl player has a heart condition, the team doctors will know right away. if a high school kid has a heart condition, he could be out there in august doing two a days till he collapses.

Man that sucks.. I do feel bad for him. But that being said, I'll bet he doesn't regret winning a SB ring and feeling what it's like being at the top of your profession

It's kinda like after women hoe it up through their 20s and look back and say they wish they never had sex and were virgins again. I mean, sure, it's easy to say you wish you never did something after you've already done it. But that young version of you never would have let you get to the point you are now without going through that. Guaranteed Randle El would not be a happy human being if he set aside all his physical talents and lived the rest of his life asking "what if..?"

with each other is when they are playing each other and even then they're probably sending texts back and forth joking about how much money they're making off the dummies on the field.

My 11 year old plays FB and is a monster. That said I'm putting him in baseball this summer :francis:.

Still what people forget/ignore is that the game done changed. 10 years ago nobody was checking for head injuries. I've coached youth football and HS varsity ball a few years back and a kid can't have a headache without sitting out practice and needing to get cleared by a doctor. One of my sons old teammates sat out a whole year because he may have possibly had a concussion even though he passed all the tests and the dr said he could play. As a coach we were instructed to take no chances with any head stuff. I coached DBs for a team that lost 3 LBs for a number of games due to suspected concussions, stuff I would've played through without a word in HS. What we're going to see is far less of this stuff because awareness is sky high and the hits that often cause concussions and head issues are being taken out of the game.

And here's the other thing: everyone ignores the fact that the people reporting these types of problems are almost all former NFL players. Guys playing against physical freaks in peak shape. If football was so damaging at the lower levels why don't we have entire generations of men struggling to think? Why aren't all my HS teammates dealing with health issues due to football? The game gets dangerous once you start dealing with 250lb LBs and 220lbs safeties running 4.4's

In the article he does say that he wishes he would have went and played baseball because he would have been drafted but his parents wanted him to stay in school so he decided to play football instead of going and signing with a MLB team.

TYRONE GA!
Always choose Basketball or Baseball over football.

If you want the salaries you go baseball

If you want the Fame and recognition you go Basketball.

36 years old and can barely walk down the stairs.:mjcry:

Basketball has the salaries beat by far compared to Baseball and Football. Hoops salaries left Baseball in the dust a long time ago breh.

But you got more opportunities in Baseball; that's for sure.

This. A combination of most high school coaches being bullshyt along with a lack of protection for the kids. When I was in jr. high school kids died from practicing in the heat all of the time, but they put rules to prevent high school coaches from practicing in 100+ degree weather until I was a junior in high school and even then the rules were basically "have more water breaks"

I had coaches that taught folks how to tackle properly, without diving your head at people, and cared about us more than the sport so they didn't need most of the safety rules other coaches needed.

I only really cringe about football when it's the elementary kids playing. They shouldn't be doing it in grade school.
