Brehs really in here acting like they don't wanna see a wide screen big battle montage in Infinity War with Chitauri soldiers scrapping with Daredevil, Luke, If, n JJ,

:beli:
You wouldn't even have to see it. Imagine how much these Marvel stans would shove it in everyone's face if during the climax of Avengers when Cap is giving out the game plan he said something along the lines of "We've got some friends holding their own in Hell's Kitchen". Or if in Ultron when Hawkeye says "The city is flying ... we're fighting an army of robots ... and I have a bow and arrow, none of this makes sense", he could have instead said "...and I have a bow and arrow. Not impenetrable skin, or super senses...a bow and arrow". Or in Civil War you could have had passing glimpses of some of the Netflix metas in cells. It doesn't really take much.

Problem for me is that Tony went to NYC to recruit Spidey for the fight but didn't want to at least meet with DD and Luke Cage, who are pretty much well known in NY.

Also I still don't understand why they couldn't just put a CG Avengers Tower in the show when the CW puts a fake Star Labs in every episode
That part never made sense to me about Civil War. Instead of Stark trying to recruit a bulletproof guy with super strength (Cage), super powered woman (Jones), the inhuman chick from Agents of SHIELD, and a skilled fighter (Murdock) to help go up against two trained super soldiers (Cap and Bucky), a SHIELD affiliated soldier (Hawkeye), and a combat airman (Falcon) you recruit a child who has only faced street thugs (Spider-Man)?! :francis:

Cottonmouth referred to Captain America by name on "Luke Cage".

I don't get most of this thread. They clearly take place in the same universe, even if The Defenders don't appear in the MCU. I don't even get this outcry for it in the first place. Black Widow and Hawkeye are the most useless Avengers, so why do people want more useless heroes like Punisher and Daredevil fighting Thanos? Even Jessica Jones and Luke Cage wouldn't be able to do shyt against him.

If they appear and it's just a quick shot as fan service, cool. If they don't :yeshrug:

And as far as Marvel's internal problems keeping the TV/MCU separate, if Marvel and Fox can work together for "Legion", then anything is possible.

i was thinking about this and I couldn't figure out away that the heroes from the tv shows wouldn't be anything but canon fodder for thanos. But it would be cool if a couple of the agents from aid showed up. Like have one of fitz or Simmons help out Bruce with something in one scene

Out of all mentioned who kicks the most ass? Also, Luke Cage was not known yet when Civil War dropped.

This is ridiculous. They're all connected in a story sense. They mention "the incident" so damn much in the Netflix shows and shield clearly reflected winter soldier. It's as simple as one division choosing not to acknowledge another. It's big brother ignoring little brother. Simple shyt. Is there a way for them to all play nice? Sure. But it ain't happening right now. It doesn't mean the universe isn't connected and that these characters don't walk the same blocks. Bad boy (marvel films) is just acting like death row (tv) doesn't exist until loeb and company get their suge knight on at the source awards '18

Are nikkas retarded? Everyone is canon fodder to Thanos and ya'll know there will be movies after Infinity War. WTF arguments in here aren't making much sense if any. Basically if a character shows up on Netflix or a tv show they will never be shown on the big screen. Sounds like an L to me but hey :yeshrug:
So it's not the same universe
Exactly it's just a marketing ploy. A good one. But that means they are no more connected than say The CW is to the DCEU or powerless to any other DC product.

I am NOT arguing to have the NF heroes appear in the films, or even vice versa, cool as it would be. But I want to see more impact from the MCU's events on the Defenders.

I just wanna see Punisher and Ghost Rider murk some chitauri while I eat Cheetos on my couch man :deadmanny:

Luke Cage did an excellent job referencing things from the others. Hammertech, Cap name-drop, using metal from the Incident. They could probably bring Absorbing Man from SHIELD or some of the Inhumans, but overall, I think the shows do well enough to keep them stand-alone plus acknowledging them in the same universe. I think it's time to introduce Clay, and use him across all medium

Yeah its pretty odd to see people try to brush off the Netflix and shield people as not being strong enough or something when you have the likes of luke cage and ghost rider who are a hell of a lot more powerful than people like cap, hawk eye and black widow.

Luke Cage was not known during Civil War, I don't watch SHIELD so I don't know about Ghostrider.
Anyway, they are going to save it and sell it for an event like Infinity War or the next movie not just throw them in some random MCU movie. They are going to sell their appearances as a new/different feature.
