So Lakers get to keep their 2020 and 2021 pick
Lose their 22 pick
Keep their 23 pick regardless due to a swap
And either keep their 24 pick or 25 pick

Boy y’all jumped the gun lmao
Um you realize the 20 and 21 firsts are the least valuable out of those picks right? Those firsts a few years from now are gonna be gold.

No shyt. But those firsts a few years from now are not going to be as valuable as you think. AD will attract another max FA in the L.A. market but y’all keep thinking this is a Nets situation where AD will be 37

It's risky but with the Dubs being so hurt, next year is our best chance to win. We're mortgaging the future for a chance the win in the 1-3 yr window we have with Bron.

Once we got Bron this is the position we put ourselves in :yeshrug:
Exactly. This was inevitable. The young guys practically had a one season try out. They were nowhere near ready to help Lebron win a ring so they got the boot. Will be tuning into Peli games to watch them progress tho. I still think BI and Zo have huge potential.

The truth is, GSW losing all of their guys to catastrophic injuries and other guys hobbled due to mileage is another reason why the lakers HAD to do it now and I was one of the fans that was like NOPE we aint giving you all of that and we'll wait til next summer. let bron wait one more year. Truth is, everyone in the league is scared after those injuries. you mess around and bron blows his achilles out or gets a bad knee injury. that mileage is real. so you gotta go and go now . especially since GSW is not right just yet come next season. So strike while the irons hot so to speak. the west is wide open. just like the east was this past season without bron being in the way. You make that run. sorry to see the young bruhs go. and I'll keep watching them on other teams. But it is what it is. Dis Hollywood baby. We dont wait. and we dont do it slowly. we win NOW. and keep winning until the the wheels fall off. suck for 10 years. and repeat. we aint built like these other franchises that build strictly thru the draft and keep losing to keep getting picks to one day get lucky enough to get a bron and to finally win like ONCE. no thanks. we're going for it. Thats something a lot of non winning ffranchise fans do not understand. They have never seen their teams win or win much so they have no real clue how it works. I notice the same issues with talking heads on TV and the radio that are transplants from other cities that were also fans of other teams in other cities. They base their arguments on what they think is the best way to build teams when they have never seen their favorite team do it.

the West being wide open is the key. CP3 wants out of HOU and HOU probably would like to dump him. even intact...its hard for HOU to win with Harden doing so much. Denver is still young and not ready. They need a couple more pieces. Portland to me is biggest threat and just like Harden, Dame tries to do too much and if he is off, they are mediocre as hell. record wise, LAL will finish in the top 3 if healthy because I think all of the 3 aforementioned teams will have great reg season records and you can throw GSW in there too, because I believe they will get some good FA help for Steph to have a good enough team. but come playoff time, LAL will be the team to beat.

How do you know the 2022 draft is gonna be amazing? You're talking about a bunch of current 15-16 year olds. :dahell:

Not only that, LA's pick is incredibly unlikely to be at the top of that draft. :dahell:

because the one and done players from the year before the one year of college rule expired and all ths top high school prospects who would have been one and dones but can now enter the draft will be in the same draft class. it'll be like a double draft.

My homie said this jokingly but if I was high on the Lakers players like him I’d probably agree

I been saying here for years, I think Grif is one of the leagues great GM/Ops guy. I expect good things out of N.O. I think they are moving in the right direction with the talent and with Grif and Gentry likely being on the same page. still, they are too young...and we have to see how some of them fit together. they are still about 3 years away from any continuity IMO. they arent done dealing. Zo and Jrue could be on the move.

i'm a lakers fan who was high on the laker kids. But #1 ball has to prove he can play 70+ games. thats the #1 reason we were willing to let him go. it wasnt the offense. I hope the guy isnt injury prone because i think he has some crazy talent. and he is a winner, that part lavar was always right about. its something about dude that makes the rest of his teammates step up. But dont be silly. assuming both teams have great health. Bron and AD alone would destroy our kids that are now on the pels. They are that good. Lebron had a crazy stat line last year and had his first big injury ever. so thats on an off year. what do you think AD is looking like? just averaging like 30 and 12 in the playoffs when they made it. thats all.
thats insane people .wake up.

Stars get calls that the kids have to earn over the years of playing. that alone is worth it.
True enough I need to see what else they do with the roster on both ends.

Not to mention Lakers fans acting like they're not giving up a top 4 pick in 2019

Say "Bu... bu...but the trade is not as bad bc we not giving a unprotected pick until 2025" when it's really in 2019 brehs

BEST POST!

LeBron is the only one superstar got the most helped than any superstar in the history.
More help than any superstar in NBA history? Kobe played with Shaq for the first 8 years of his career and KD was on a 73 win team. MJ’s Bulls were a 50+ year team when Jordan was playing baseball.

Bron spent his first 8 years playing with bums.
