:mjcry: We got fleeced.

?? Look at the list of returns in trades for disgruntled superstars with only a year left on their contract leaving small markets breh... not a single one has a player of Ingram's caliber, let alone at his age with potential to develop even further. And that's not even forgetting the 3 first rounders and pick swaps that don't start flooding in until next season. Look at what Minnesota got for prime MVP Kevin Garnett if you wanna shed some tears. Or the Nuggets, who's return for prime Melo was highlighted by Raymond Felton and Timofey Mozgov... :mjlol::picard: This team would be exciting and promising if it wasn't for Red Eyes stinking up the joint. Losses like that inexcusable one to GS the other night proves the talent on this roster is being severely mismanaged and not being harnessed to anywhere near its fullest potential. Be sad that we got fleeced for Monty, not AD :mjcry:

Laker fans are the absolute WOAT! :mjlol:

With that said, if the Lakers can stay healthy I don’t see why they can’t make the Finals this year. They have the most complete roster in the West.
The Lakers should have gotten Chris Paul anyway so NO was like f it, and on paper got a good haul for AD, definitely could had gotten more, but whatever. They bout to pay Ingram so they’re happy. It still is a good trade at this point in time.

Four first round picks, two first round pick swaps, and 3 players under 23 (all first round picks) is a good haul???

nikka my lakers got fleeced, badly

I still think the Lakers raped themselves they were basically trading against themselves. They could of hung on to something else besides just Kuzma.
They basically traded Ingram and the 4 pick for AD. What more could they have held on to? Ball and Hart are deep rotational pieces at this point and I don't think they would have helped this Laker team too much. Any talk of Lakers being fleeced is nonsense. NO got something in return for someone who was gonna walk, and Lakers got AD for BI and a few rotational pieces.

How the Lakers get fleeced when they are title contenders?? :dahell: If the Lakers resigns AD for another 5 years he’ll still be in his prime by the time any of those picks start bearing fruit. Those picks don’t mean anything if the Lakers are good.

Win for both sides, idk why Hart is being called trash..he’s a solid role player. He was never gonna be more.

Lonzo still has the jury out on him, he might never be #2 pick worthy, but he can be a starter. Then you have Ingram, you also have bunch of picks. Can’t ask for a better rebuild. Pels need to fire their coach and Griffin should have done a better job getting bigs. This is why they are as bad as they are right now.

We traded 3 more first round picks and two pick swaps. All in the 2020s. Our future is bleak.

You can build through trades and FA. Those picks will likely be mid-late 20s and would take years to develop unless you hit on a lucky one. And I'm not sure the Lakers are the best player development model as they aren't in the "patiently wait" business. They also have THT and Kostas waiting in the wings. Only way this backfires is if AD leaves this summer.

Monte was no better and then picks gonna be worth fam lol. This team will be in the WCF yearly. So we got Ingram for AD. That’s a loss to me

every championship contender thinks that. Those picks will be lottery picks bro bc AD will only sign a 2 yr deal this offseason so he can get a 10 yr max. AD can't carry a team by himself. This wasn't like the Pau Gasol trade, we gave up entirely too much. NO will likely get 3 more lottery picks from us. I bet Brooklyn thought the same thing when they gave up those pick swaps to Boston.

You don't think the Lakers with a prime AD can lure in another superstar when Bron is gone? That 2022 FA class is loaded

we are screwed. Can't rely on free agent signings to solidify the future of the team. Best case scenario is to have 27-30 yd old vets, sprinkled in with you & old wily vets.
