Lakers had other options to look at. There are other FAs . NO had to make A deal since homie wanted out. Didnt matter with who. As long as the price was right for NO.

AD was their #1 target for different reasons, but one important was that he wouldve been the easiest to get their hands on, partly because of what you mentioned above. anything else they wouldve looked at wouldve been because an AD deal was improbable.
