LeBron stans are seriously mad at AD for not 'waiving' $4million? What an ungrateful bunch.

The Brooklyn comparisons are stupid. AD is a 26 year old MVP caliber player in his prime. Not somebody knocking on 40.

The Nets mortgaged their future for a 2 year window hoping to be a darkhorse contender at best.

It’s not the same

People trying way to hard with that one. Especially when you consider the position that the Nets are in now. If you have a shot at a player of AD's caliber at 26 year old you take it. A better comparison is if Bron was on the trade market in 2011 or KD was in 2014. I think people got so used to the fleecings that we saw with TOR or thought we saw with INDY that they had the game messed up. This is what you have to pay if you want a player of that caliber at that age.

This is the rare occasion when you can say that both teams benefitted from this trade. Pelicans got potential studs and assets to put around Zion. Lakers got one of the very best players in the league at 26 to pair with Bron and take over after he falls off and eventually leaves.

The irony is that the Celtics are getting clowned because they couldn’t flip those picks from the Nets into an AD or Kawhi. Yet people using that case as a reason to say the Lakers overpaid :dead:

AD doesn't want to play center

Lakers don't have a max slot at all. They added salary with this trade and they have like 5.5 viable roster players now
1.AD will play center....what the fukk you think he's going to do? leave LA because he has to play the 5:russ: use some got damn common sense nikka

2.Most playoff rotations are 8-9 max...so if they already have 6 viable players they don't need much more...depending on how they finalize this trade they'll either have their MLE or their Bi Annual Exception at 4 million and their room exception at 5 million to add more players on top or their regular cap space

3.The Lakers can create up to 28 million in cap space if AD declines his trade kicker (thats near max as 7 year vet max's start at 32 million) which depending on their ability to convince someone Like Kyrie to come aboard is certainly a possibility.... Even if he doest't waive that bonus as I said they have plenty of money regardless somewhere around the 24 million range which means they have plenty of ability to fill out their roster with high end support players.... The warriors are dismantled next season due to injuries they don't even need a "super team" to compete for a championship next year at all....

who do they draft?
or should they trade the pick?

I would trade down, in exchange for those hawks picks and whatever else they can get from them.

the hawks can go head and draft hunter, while the pels can address the rest of their needs at the bottom of the top 10. maybe culver will be there. perfect backup for injury-prone jrue holiday. and they can pick up a center to compete with Okafor. plus, cam reddish might still be around too.

There is 0% chance Culver will be there at 10. Reddish outside chance, unlikely.
