Lakers are offering a lot. All their young assets aside from Hart and Mo Wagner gone. A team full of mercenaries and no homegrown talent.
For me winning wouldn't feel the same without some of the young guys who you watched grow into better players over the years.

Pelicans won’t get a better offer than that Lakers one. You’re not getting an all star or superstar in return but you’re getting multiple young players with high upside that are on rookie contracts, which will give you flexibility on the rebuild. Look at what Vince Carter, James Harden, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony were traded for. If they want to be petty and make him play a year somewhere else before he gets to LA :manny: but the offer is not trash. Hell I would still want to keep one out of Ingram/Ball/Kuz but I’m not mad at them for going all in.

Damn I wish they would take Hart and leave one of the other guys.

So if you were LA’s GM and the Pels said deal, you’d turn it down?

Of course not. However, you still have to have a TEAM to go to.
They will have to replace Lonzo's and Ingram's defense (especially Lonzo as there are not that many elite defensive PGs, important against a guy like Curry) as well as Kuzma's, Lonzo's, and Ingram's length. They will also need a viable back up big.

It can't be Lebron, AD and a bunch of scrubs in the West. That shyt might work in the East though.

However, even if that becomes the case, I will give a guy like Lebron the benefit of the doubt because he literally can create nothing from something no matter where he goes.

The question is will it be enough? When you trade for a guy like AD, you are going all in. So you have to build the team very smartly after you gut it.

Breh, you’re talking about landing Anthony Davis. Anthony Davis. Get over it.
You are talking as if I'm a Lakers fan. :mjlol: So there is nothing to get over.

I am bringing common sense. If the team is trash around Lebron and AD, that's a problem. Look at how good AD, what has his teams done? They haven't done shyt. Why? He is surrounded by trash. You need a TEAM to win. Want to beat the Warriors or the next big thing? You will need the best TEAM.

Obviously Lebron and AD is the foundation but you need to have a quality finished product.

How are you not a lakers fan and you talking sentimental about losing players you don’t root for???

:dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh:

Lebron + AD + a $30M cap slot for this summer = fukk all 4 of them nikkas. Stop overthinking this.

I'm bringing perspective. You want the best talent to complement Lebron + AD's talent. What's the point if the team around them is trash.
All I'm saying is the Lakers to be smart in how they build their team around Lebron and AD. 30 million is going to do what? Bring a bunch of single year scrubs? If they can get Klay Thompson w/ that money that would be great. Imagine Lebron having a shooter like Thompson?:merchant:

Perspective? :bryan:

The deal is a no-brainer, which is why it’s on the table, along with four others. Long-term, AD would be the future of the franchise, regardless of what happens while Lebron is there.

You know what happens short term? You’ve got two of the 10 best players in the world on your team, with room to add one more with players like KD, Kawhi and Klay hitting the market.

aka you take your chances.

Perspective. You have the perspective of a car door mirror. :russ:
