You're not giving up any major assets all in the hopes of potentially landing a star player in FA so you can keep AD around :gucci:And like you said, KP + AD isn't winning by themselves. How much cap space do you think the Knicks will have this summer to create a competitive team with them 2 having max contracts. Lee, THJ, Thomas, and Noah's contract take up 44 million next year

the knicks are as bad as you can get breh. they may not be able to keep KP at the end of the day, if he doesnt want to be there. if he does, he eats in to that $44 mil and he isnt no where near the player that AD is. big risk. do the knicks want to mortgage the team on KP coming off injury?

It still makes no sense to swap KP for AD if your concern is KP wanting to stay + looking the same after an injury (Knicks have been intentionally sitting him out this season FYI). You're still paying for AD's max this season and won't have any room to sign any good FAs to build a championship team. In that instance, AD has no reason to stay in New York. You'd risk having AD for half a year all the while losing KP (who has shown no indication that he wants to leave and is only about to be on his 2nd contract with no pressure to win a championship yet)

1.Idk what your talking about here... My point was that saying the knicks would only do an AD trade that doesn't include KP because anything else would mean they'd be putting unreasonable faith in getting a free agent is a little silly as even if they didn't include KP and kept him in a AD deal you'd still be banking on signing a free agent/s to round out that team

2.You're not giving up assets for the "hope" of signing free agents.... You're giving up assets to acquire a top 5 player in the NBA

That team statement pretty much says fukk you Lakers and Rich Paul. They not trading AD to Lakers on principle

AD about to be Blake Griffin all over again. He going to be stuck in place like Cha or pho for a year

then they better take what they can get from NYK then :mjlol:

where is the proof of tampering? Lebron going out to dinner is not proof tampering. :comeon: no matter what bullshyt statement Silver released.

You're still confused breh

If Knicks don't include KP, they'd be dealing Knox + this year's 1st round pick. Ok, if AD is looking to re-sign, you'd have KP and AD with max contracts on your books and zero cap room to build a contending team. What reason would AD have to stay in essentially the same situation as New Orleans or a Detroit? If he jets, you'd have lost two lottery studs for a half-year rental of AD
