There’s a difference between a team hesitant to offer a player vs. a player you can get but will be a pain in the ass (due to Lavar, Lonzo would be a pain in the ass even if he was good)
You’re presuming Lonzo commands lottery pick value (and I’m LA and he did, you make that trade regardless of whether you land Davis or not.)
I'm not presuming anything, both the Bulls and Suns have interest in Lonzo and are dangling their lottery picks. What we don't know is whether LA wants to trade him.
Boston was always the only team that had a "better" deal and nothing's changed. Now that they're out LA's in the driver's seat, I don't see the Knicks moving every piece they have like the Lakers will. They don't have a choice.
