Nah I'm saying they got to put it out of its misery. The people running it don't know what they're doing from an entertainment standpoint.

  • Villain Enterprises
  • The Briscoes
  • Bandido
  • Rush
  • Jay Lethal
  • Jeff Cobb
  • Jon Gresham
  • Coast 2 Coast
  • Dalton Castle
  • Silas Young
  • Tracy Williams
Are all useful pieces that could come in and put in some really good work in current Impact.

  • Joe Hendry
  • Mark Haskins
  • Kenny King
  • Matt Taven
Are okay too I guess if you want to fill out a roster :skip:.

I'd even be cool with Anthem doing what they nearly did with GFW :pachaha: and use the ROH name as the name for the championships and the promotion in general with Impact being the name of the show and the streaming service too with some of the ROH PPV names being kept. A PPV schedule of:

  • Against All Odds* (February)
  • Death before Dishonor (April)
  • Slammiversary (June)
  • Best in the World (August)
  • Bound For Glory (October)
  • Final Battle (December)
Would work with those random indy Impact+ specials in the other months.

*insert PPV name here.

With the belts you can run with:

  • ROH World (Heavyweight) Championship
  • ROH World Television Championship
  • ROH World X-Division Championship
  • ROH World Tag Team Championship
  • ROH Knockouts Championship (that Women of Honor shyt just isn't it, sounds like a title for a group of virgins)
TL;DR There are numerous possibilities :manny: that would be better than what we have now, for both ROH and Impact.

if they merge, theyre gonna merge into impact.

theyre not gonna run with ROH's name. the ROH brand would be dead, aside from them maybe keeping some of their events alive.

I'm with you on this idea, but I wasn't talking about specifically with what I said.

I interpreted other stuff I read as other people wanting Anthem to save ROH from Sinclair as if Anthem didn't tank Impact AND Fight Network damn near immediately after the purchase.

I figure that would be most likely and I'm saying that would be the wrong course of action. Anthem are aware of the perception of the TNA/Impact brand which is why they were so open to using GFW in the first place and frankly ROH are a completely different animal to GFW. ROH aren't hot right now but killing it completely and warehousing all their shyt would be a waste which is why I don't think WWE buying them would be the best course of action because that's exactly what they'd do.

If Anthem were to buy ROH then they should go down a different path and treat it as a merger of equals instead of being hokey and shytting on the company they're buying. The two promotions are coming together and bringing both of their histories and brands to the table. They have a shared history, they've been around as long as each other, massive overlaps in terms of talent and the guys who've held their championships and been at the forefront of their promotions.

Anthem may think that they've turned the perception of the Impact name around but the fact is that ROH inherently has a better built in rep with the market Anthem are trying to attract by buying AXS, the money spending American wrestling fan. Tacking on ROH and using the name strategically doesn't hurt what Anthem have done already because:

  1. They'd own the company anyway. It's their brand.
  2. The Impact name would still be displayed and used prominently.
There's no loss it would be an enhancement. Swallowing the company and doing bullshyt invasion storylines where guys the fans may like have to do jobs because of where they were previously employed isn't the wave this company should be riding in 2019.
