Yeah, the CGI beginning with Ragnorak until now has been straight up trash.

I get it though. Like any other business it’s about making money. Quantity over quality. People will watch whatever they put out so why should they spend extra when they’ll profit regardless of how it looks.


I’m always Marvel gang but at some point they need to slow down and do less and stop the over saturation of content. It loses quality with every new release.

2 or 3(if it’s a major event) movies a year with 2 well thought out D+ series.

Bad CGI is a function of time. That time costs money, and while disney has they money, they aren’t allowing for the time for quality detailed cgi. Game of thrones actually has better battle scene cgi than marvel movies and shows TODAY, because of the time involved and disney not allotting said time for quality output.

Ironman 1 has better cgi than phase 4. That is criminal.

Like who has so much time on their hands to go frame by frame and come up with 70 different easter eggs and theories from a 90 second clip?

And a whole lot of it be false most times. Then folks will get upset when what they were expecting due to these trailer breakdowns and spoilers end up being not true.

I just don't understand how the CGI has gotten WORSE over the years when it should be incredible at this point.

Ironheart's armor was bogus as fukk in BP: Wakanda Forever.

one problem with stage craft is its inability to show scope, large scenes and establishing shots. or directors don't know how to avoid the sense of a smaller "stage" that using it widely in a production can bring.

Also from the trailer....Ant Man (a street level hero) was talking greasy to Kang. Showing that Marvel's new villain shouldn't be taken seriously.

Thanos by contrast had the entire Avengers shook just by the mere mention of his name.

So if Kang is going to be an Avengers level threat then they need to up the power he demonstrates and stop goofing around.

I feel you on this but they could always throw a spin on us at the last minute and say something like this version Kang isn't even the most dangerous.

As for the CGI its been awful and like everyone is saying most likely it has to do with Covid demanding the work to be done faster and just the sheer uptick in volume of films/d+ shows. They have to make cutbacks somewhere I guess and this is probably where most won't notice and even if they did tickets are still going to sell as per usual.
