only problem with this graphic is it implies you need to own a business to pass something down your kids.
statistically the majority of people get head starts in life due to inheriting property and tangible assets from their parents. That can include a business, but usually its houses, real estate

Bingo

Also add Life Insurance policies, that we as black people dont do for our children

I agree that attacking someone bc of their upbringing is sad, crab in the bucket shyt.

But folks forget how Ali was railing on Joe Frazier for being an Uncle Tom (despite the fact Frazier grew up on a farm down South) and even "ugly" . Frazier never forgave until he died. So there is precedent unfortunately.

Well i know me and the old lady fighting back! :birdman:

My wife's mom only had 2 kids - my wife and her older sister. My sister in law has no kids and is past child bearing age, so she already has it to where my sons are getting anything she has willed or owns.

Right now our outlook is:

1. My mother in law's Aunt's house in downtown Charleston SC (HIGHLY VALUABLE) - going to my kids (mom in law been renting out on Section 8 for years :skip: )

2. Mother in law's house in Charleston - going to my kids

3. Father in Law's home - eventually going to my kids (wife's dad has in his will to give to my sister in law, but again she has no children)

4. Father in Law's parents home in the country - My wife is on the deed along with her dad, so my boys are next in line to receive it.

5. My mom's crib in Charleston - I'm the beneficiary of all of her shyt and my brother and sis don't have kids. So my boys getting that property.

6. And lastly whatever me and my wife own (monies, home).

Already puttin them on game to NEVER sell any of the above. They can live in them or rent out, but instructing them to NEVER sell. If need be, I'll put it in the will to ensure it. Just hope they keep it black/minority.

These cacs about to see we striking back!!! :birdman:

Jesus. This guys gonna own the whole county.

Own and passing down is the key. That's what all these other mufukkaz do.

Too many times we sell for the quick buck short term.

Made a mistake in not assuming the loan on my grandmother's home (mom's mom) because I didn't wanna deal with family members yapping, thinking they could stay in there for free, etc. I should have just done it and told them shut the hell up and this is how it's gonna be and keep it movin.

My main regret. :mjcry:

Lol exactly. What does wearing a chain and Jordan's or some shyt have to do with being "street"???

Funny thing is half of these "street" rappers" dudes love glorifying come from the suburbs or middle class families themselves.

Not only that

These same rappers are the same ones in interviews and on record talking how they keeping it real, staying close to the streets, and u shouldn’t be out here snitching to the kids

Then off camera in the suburbs, they got their kids going to private school, driving nice cars and enjoying life , telling them to avoid the hood and other responsible shyt

Idk correlating with boxing skill but it really is all about. Hunger and what it took (or the lackthereof) to get to where they are for this fight. Idk wtf this crab in a bucket talk is about. @UpAndComing you actually watch boxing so I'm surprised to see this take from you -- but then again maybe you just don't like Rougarou :pachaha:

Nah the irony is that I actually have Regis winning the fight lol
Haney is coming up from 135. He already lacked punching power from that weight, so coming up would only make it worse

And I think Regis being an "unskilled flat footed puncher" is overblown

DingDingDing. But on the OP, you don't see where Regis is coming from? You got one breh who fast tracked his way to the youngest undisputed champ and the other had his check bounce last fight.

110%

I think most of ya'll are missing the point of him saying he was "manufactured". He's not saying "generational wealth is bad", he saying he's had a team build him from the start. Has a "machine" behind him, was "gifted" his first title, etc. Lots of fighters say the same thing about others when they feel like their career took a tougher path to get to a point. No different than fighters being upset and calling out Loma cause his first fight was for a title.

Regardless I love what the Haney's are doing and look forward to how far Devin can go. However I gotta go with the hometown champ on this one.

The reason anyone is discussing "nepotism" today is literally because of white people complaining about it on twitter. So why are we pretending this is some black pathology issue of us not wanting each other to advance, not supporting generational wealth etc.
:francis:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you don't "support" generational wealth that's your problem. But let's be clear: this is not a common black conversation or debate. This is a conversation dominated by young, chronically-online white people complaining about actors, musicians, and comedians who have famous parents. Yet would anyone use that to claim white people in general don't understand or care for generational wealth and putting your children in position to win? Of course not.
