As @KidStranglehold said, God don't like black people

:lolbron:

God has no color, but He made sure to put us first on this planet , until the devil brought cacs with him :dead:

But returning to the subject, i intend to visit in the future and maybe live in Angola. What happens there is the same thing that happens here in Brazil, the corrupt elite controlling all the natural resources while the great majority of the population is left in poverty :pacspit:

I'm talking about Equatorial Guinea

And I'm not sure you know what c00ning means

c00ning because I've met black many of my bretheren who're quick to throw Angola as it is under the bus while believing that whites were right to dominate us and that we were better off when the country was a province of little ol' Portugal.
But aye, maybe you're right, maybe this breh doesn't know what c00ning is.:lupe: English is my second language after all, so perhaps I've got it twisted. :leon:

What do you mean?

In order to really understand what's happening in the country you need to first understand that this is a big ass land who was filled with a lot of different tribes/clans. Historically it just wasn't a 1 country. Thus, forced to cohabitate in extreme circumstances (black folk kidnapping black folk and submitting each other into Portuguese law) the people ended up under the banner of Portugal up until 1975 (my parents are actual Africans that were born European but IN AFRICA, picture the implications of that).

That's a lot of revolts and fights that were lost not just because the people weren't prepared in terms of combat, but also because of thousands of negros working for the enemy. Yet somehow we Angolans made it, we won our independence and kicked the whites out...but...where does all the animosity, self-hate, ignorance (due to lack of studying and portuguese demanding that people forego their own cultures), grief (a lot of black men/women/child dead) go?!

It stays in the people's heart. That's my explanation for any and every display of lack of love between the people; from a club's bouncer deciding that a brother's too dark-skinned to be VIP to the Elite robbing from the people to hand it to back to those who once colonized us because they're better.

I'd have to write books to really get in depth on the topic, but do you see my point? The portuguese first came to Congo (north of Angola) in 1482 and got kicked out in 1975, that's a lot of years of abnormalities for the people to be normal right now in 2017. I believe there will be a generation of Angolans who'll seize the resources and make the most of them, but it could actually be that they are yet to be born.

Yep, I'm Angolan and in Angola. So I guess that explains my passion for the topic. :lolbron:

But it still puzzles me that I only understood the complexities of self-hate after reading more about US writers on race and the Jim Crow, and watching slavery movies, and watching rappers. Growing up it sounded a lot more simple, and I couldn't grasp how people who fought for the liberation of the country could 10-20 years later just get back in bed with the ones who destroyed it just like that. It was mind-boggling, until I finally got it; you can fukk up the bully and still end up being envious of him while seeking out his approval.

It's levels to that shyt. :wow:

It's a myth because you can't have gone through what Angola went through just to magically be prosperous once the whites are kicked out. The history of Angola is a very dark and complex one, filled with betrayal, blood, and terror. As a child I couldn't see that, but now I understand how expecting Angola to pull Norway or a China was naive at best and straight up c00ning at worst.

:gucci:

What nations history isn't filled with betrayal blood terror..

Yep, I speak portuguese & english fluently, dabble a little in spanish and french too since the root language is the same. Although I wanna improve in french. But really I wanna learn my mother tongue, and although I got the material I think I may need an instructor. My accent is beyond horrible.

You see that's one of the consequences of just how bad colonialism was; I remember I was a kid and my elementary school was trynna include the mother tongues in the curriculum and the parents (the c00ns that many of them were/are) legit hit the school with the ":rudy: my kids are failing in portuguese and you want them to learn another language? :what: fukk all that, teach them portuguese and stop wasting their time with this tribal shyt!"
@Afrodroid you sure you're built for this Angolan life breh? :sas1:

:mindblown:
That's what I'm sayin'. You put 5 black brehs/brehettes from different countries/continents in the same room and they're gonna find they have a lot of the same issues in common, and a many common threads will be things that stems from colonialism. Then you'll see how pervasive the effects of that aberration in history really is.

What is your mother tongue?

I'm of a Bantu bloodline, my tribe is from the land of Catete, thus my language is Kimbundu. The tribe itself has some famous people from it, including the first president...but I personally think we take an L 'cause the breh Agostinho Neto – for all the good he did (and I respect him a lot for it) :salute: – married a cac and made her the first "First Lady"...and not just any cac, but a portuguese cac. Mind you, the portuguese are the ones we kicked out. :gucci: This ain't to throw dirt on the man's name, but shyt...colonialism was a mf.:francis:

Who is going to be Dos Santos' successor

João Lourenço, Minister of Defense AKA the brehs that look at the president like ":sas1:We're the ones who make sure you sleep peacefully at night. So try not to trip too much famo:sas2:" :pachaha: They already call him President in the news too! With the occasional correction: "Oh we meant the candidate for President":skip:

It was supposed to be Manuel Vicente, but breh got caught up in some corruption scandal...in Portugal:beli:, and also had too many enemies in the Party. Breh fukked up and lucked out. :francis:

Edit: picture of J.Lourenço
ng1007374.jpg

He's (on the right) shaking the hand of Dos Santos (on the left).

Edit 2: Lourenço = Lawrence. So J. Lourenço translated becomes J. Lawrence. :ohhh::jbhmm::mjlol:

That's ambundo (or however it's supposed to be spelled)? Most Angolans I know are from the province of Luanda so I suppose that's their ethnicity too. I never asked about this cause it doesn't seem like an important aspect of their identity.
