Andrew Young framed a perfect prospective on the mentality that actually leads to change in the interview even if I don't agree with all of what he said.
Folks might not like the rhetoric because it doesn't fit the militant minded thinking that is being pushed right now but progress is made by meeting in the middle, not forcing or strong arming the other side to your way of thinking especially when you're the minority. You have to understand where the other side is coming from first and foremost.
This is an exercise in psychology and what MLK always spoke about. Folks gotta read harder into the language as well as the mindsets of the opposition.
Black folks also have to go to task on what we're really fighting for out here. Is is just respect and social/legal justice? Or should we be focused on improving economically like Mr. Young hinted at...

Diplomacy and Bipartisanship for lack of better terms is needed in regards to bringing racial issues to the table as well framing issues around the subjects of class and economic divide.
Whether people want to admit it or not, this is politics. Finding connecting factors with the opposition that achieve your goals is the best way to go about things. That is what MLK did in the Civil Rights era.
A full out physical war will not take place and so the battlefield is mental and psychological.

Never been a fan of dude. Ive seen him do more hob knobbing, self promotion, and string puling nepotistic favors than I've seen him do actual impactful shyt for the community as a whole or anyone else not in his elite circle. His brother was a legit crack head dentist who should've lost his dental license a long time before he did but AY pulled some strings. His son Bo used to be a halfway goon, he got off on shyt other brehs got hemmed up on, but again AY pulled strings. Used to see him when I was a kid at First Congregation sitting in the front, and would wonder why he would always be turned around looking towards the back during the service. Like even as a child I thought it was strange. Then when I saw him around as an adult and peeped how he was always talking about himself, it dawned on me that he was turned around in church cuz he was just trying to see what other social climbers was in the room. nikka had no interest in the sermon at all. Not religious myself but it just shows you the type of person he is. He's all about the show, he gives zero fukks about the message.

It's pretty straight forward imo. Andrew Young's line of thinking is coming from a position of framing our issues under the guise of class which is easier for non blacks to digest and always has been. Not defending all of his comments however.
