Never thought I’d say this but Doug Gottlieb is right :mjlol:

The days of being a tough person or having mental fortitude are done. Any problem you have, just quit and say your mental health is bothering you :manny:

He couldn’t even lie and say he wants to protect his brain from being mush :mjlol: he just wants to go explore the world with his family.

If this was Antonio Brown :francis:

Having integrity and mental fortitude is not looked at as a positive attribute in today’s society, so I understand your sentiment.
I can't stand Gottlieb, but he's right.

He quit.

Irsay ain’t shyt for leaking the news early, mid game
It’s business. Can’t afford to let Luck have a hero’s send-off when he just ruined their franchise on and off the field for the near future. I’m sure they also want to discourage other players from doing the same type of move in the future.

I agree with this.

They got a qb and Allen is a beast.

Texans still can't protect Watson and mariota just straight trash.
Don’t know if I’d say that. It’s really a toss-up, where any of the four teams could win it.

Luck leaving fukks the Colts, but they have a damn good roster otherwise, plus the best HC (who faced a similar situation to this in 2017 and won a Super Bowl) and GM in the division. If Jacoby Brissett can at least be a proper game manager, then they’ll likely still be competitive.

Jags have that terrifying defense, but their offense is suspect. Foles is inconsistent at the best of times, doesn’t have the weapons nor the O-Line he did on the Eagles in 2017, and I don’t know about Marrone and DeFillippo (whose first tenure as OC ended with him getting run out of Minnesota) as coaches.

Texans have Watson, but are reportedly about to lose Clowney on the D-Line, and their O-Line and secondary are still garbage. Bill O’Brien is a mediocre HC. Also... they have no actual GM.

Titans are pretty similar to the Colts in that I actually do like how the team is made up overall, the only real question on it is QB play. I don't trust Mariota to not hold them back.

Damn. I had my fantasy draft yesterday and picked him. I'm helping out at the Luniz concert then I get a text saying he retired. :francis:

Good for him though. Do you what you feel is best for you and your family. fukk what anybody thinks. It's his life and he's the one who needs to live with the damage caused by football.

Imagine being a person who thinks that retiring after having, and playing through, lacerated kidneys and a fukked up ACL is somehow evidence of a lack of mental fortitude.

This is the problem with the sports media; most of it isn't quality journalism, it's just a bunch of entitled dudes who don't spend every day thanking God that they make a living by writing about something that is a fun escape from the real world sitting around passing judgment on athletes who have literally taken years off of their lives in some cases to play their sport at a high level.

All that talk and all the trash journalism out there ends up influencing some people who also like to talk about never quitting in some high-minded way like they really know all about adversity and overcoming shyt, but who in truth are just mad that their little fantasy football teams got fukked up because they drafted too early.
