It's funny that nikkas who don't know shyt about our team are talking as if they're a fan of the team:heh:

We won in this trade in so many ways that don't even deal with money, For one thing we finally have budding stars in Jrue and ET and Thad who have all upped their games this season and are all having their best seasons of their careers

Two, our core is still very young, Holiday is 22, Turner is 24 and Thad is 24 and they are not even close to their primes as of right now so the sky is the limit

Three, Even if the Bynum thing doesn't work out we can stilll move on as if this never happened, because we're not in a binding contract with him :mindblown: I don't understand what you nikkas don't get about that:what:

They had Jrue, Turner, and Thad before they made that trade. If Bynum doesn't play, they basically traded Iguodala, Mo Harkless, and Nikola Vucevic (who I would definitely be playing over the mullet) for Jason Richardson.

I think it's fair to say the 76ers are doing just fine for themselves but if Bynum isn't ever healthy as a 76er, that trade is an L.

Actually it's not the only thing we lost in that trade was Vucevic but at the same time Doug was never going to give him mins anyway. Harkless who think won't be anything but a decent player would have been stuck in the same position ET was in for 2 season fighting for mins may have been even worse seeing as heis shot is worst than Turner's was :scusthov: The reason the trade works for us is that those 3 players got a chance to come into their own because the team had to much invested into Iggy, with him gone they can now flourish.

Sure they could have made a smaller trade to move Iggy but if a smaller deal for lesser players was made the Sixers would still be criticized for giving up their "allstar" for nothing. As it stands now no team won in that deal, the Lakers were much more fluid with Bynum as their big and the Nuggets gave up depth and the ability to spread the floor with Affalo for Iggy's "allstar" skillset don't think that his being there isn't part of the reason Ty Lawson has regressed just look at ET and Jrue growth since he's been gone.

an "ugly contract"... that's expiring next season and can be opted out of in the summer. :beli:

the Nuggets started 17 out of the first 23 games on the road and had one of the hardest SOS in the league. I said before the season started just staying above 500 during this brutal stretch would be considered a success.

I'll be sure to revisit this post in January when basically every game is going to be played in Denver.

i didnt notice that about the nuggets schedule. im actually glad to hear that because the nuggets are prolly one of my 5 favorite teams right now(javale mcghee, andre miller, manimal, ty lawson, george karl, gorgeous uniforms, fresh court, etc). and for the record, i like them more than the sixers.

no need to upp anything. i'll fallback now. i have no problem admitting when im out of pocket.

again, what yall dont understand is that getting rid of those players was a wash.

theyve been desperately trying to ditch iggy for years. the city was never diggin him and the front office was trying to ditch his contract for AT LEAST 3 years, if not longer.

vucevic would be riding the wood again this year, and harkless would be lucky to join him on the bench. he probably wouldnt even suit up for this squad. the both of them combined wouldve been less productive on this team than jason richardson has been thus far. oldhead is ballin. if you were properly upped on this team, you would know this and wouldnt have mentioned him in such a dimly-litted manner.

Well if that's the case, they could have just went after Dwight instead of Bynum and they'd be much better off this year. Unless the 76ers do something amazing during free agency, I don't see how getting out of a single year of Iguodala's contract is such a major accomplishment.

:what: that's bad coaching if he wouldn't get minutes over a player he's better than . And you think we would cared if you traded iggy for pieces to make your team better in a small trade ?? Soon as you started winning the haters would shut up . Like how the Knicks were hated on all offseason for being AARP

Damn the Lakers should be fined for raping Philly like that. Even though they are struggling they got the best big man in the league for a guy who may not play more than one or two more seasons.

^^^:what::wtf:

how did the lakers rape philly? it was a 4-way deal.

im not even sure that the lakers got anything from the sixers. maybe some worthless draft picks.

edit: i was about to say jodie meeks but the lakers picked him up via free agency.

theres no way dwight was gonna re-sign with the sixers. with bynum, it was at least a 50/50 chance that he would re-sign(also, keep in mind that hes from PA). and he already said that he plans to re-sign months ago.

you dont understand what we're saying about igoudala's contract because you dont follow the team like that and youre not from here. thats what this all boils down to. i dont understand why yall keep trying to force an argument out of this.

i liken it to the joe johnson trade(albeit, johnson is better but he has a bigger contract, so it evens out). i understood why they got rid of him and his contract but at the same time, myself and others on here felt like the hawks were trying to tank and start over. and we were wrong about that.

What you seem to be saying is that any trade that got rid of that one year left on Iguodala's contract was an automatic win, no matter who else you gave up or who else you got. I don't agree, but apparently the only reason for that is that I'm not from Philadelphia :manny:
