My Pops Forever RIP
Even if they didn't amnesty Brand they wouldn't have been able to do it to J-Rich. The player had to be on your roster when the amnesty clause was put in.

I don't see how this is a bad trade. They got rid of Iggy's contract. That's a win. Took a chance on Bynum. If he doesn't play, it's cap space. If he plays and beasts then good for them. They're still not winning a championship. As for the draft pick, who cares, the team doesn't draft that well anyway and by not having a pick they don't have to pay the player they draft.

The problem with the cap space is that Bynum would have been their #1 target in free agency, and considering that they'd have $45 mil on 9 players, assuming they vet minimum 4 other spots + 1st rounder, that's more or less $10 mil in cap space. Barring trades of course, that's not getting you a superstar. They thought they had that in Bynum AND his Bird rights.

It was still a good move by the Sixers. Like jdash said, they maxed out with Iggy and needed a post player in the worst way. They rolled the dice with Bynum and it's not working out. :manny:

They'll have some flexibility in the future now and they still have a nice core. They can probably lowball Bynum in the offseason too and still try to make it work.

On a side note, where are those idiots in the media who said the Lakers were foolish for trading Bynum for Dwight or Bynum >>>> Dwight? Someone get Shaq on the line. :smugbiden:

Are you serious really are you serious. IGGY have two years left on his deal and it will raise each yea. Bynum was worth a risk and that first rounder wont be shyt. Harkless a poor man thaddeus young. Sixers made out great. They will have 16 milliom in cap next year and maybe more with the multiple 1 year deals they have.

Jrich contract is heavy but NBA does have ammesty clause.

:usure: they just extended holiday that money will start next season you will have about 11.3 under the cap if bynum don't return

You amnestied brand,so u have no amnesty.

Thanks for ruining the nba and gettin nothing out of it you idiots :russ:

1 problem, who the fukk wants to live in Philadelphia :stopitslime:

N1gga I dont live in philly nomore ctfu. Philadelphia do have some of the best surburbs in the country. Look up the statistics. Overall the franchise will be in the gutter till they get a superstar which will be ages.

New Jersey in a new jersey
:snoop:
-pick is protected ... but its still a 1st rounder
-can u explain what iggy did to da city of brotherly love?
i dont recall a fan base hating on an 2nd team all defense/allstar/dream team 'er
-again jrich salary defeats da purpose of getting under da cap

:childplease: and depending on how the Sixers finish they keep their pick

-I have know problem with Iggy but his importance to the team was way overvalued. The Sixers overacheived last season because realistically Josh Smith had a better numbers so did B.Jennings last season main reason he was an allstar. Iggy was a very good complimentary player not a star of a team, Denver fans are now learning that, especially with Turner putting out the same production this season as Iggy is.

- again the deal was for Bynum not J Rich :aicmon: he was a filler that Orlando wanted off their books. I would have big deal he wasn't producing but he's played well for us.

Also if the fans of the team don't really care why are you so pressed about it :aicmon: we're gonna support the Sixers regardless breh. It was a risk we took end of story at the end of the day they are still playing well, not that big of a deal.

16 million in cap space cant complain

To sign who ? Philly isn't a hot destination for free agents except Elton brand :troll: their main option to sign would be Bynum I highly doubt Dwight or cp3 going there . Not to mention they traded a good center to Orlando to get Bynum :bryan: and jrich can opt in cant he

It Can Possibly Work In Bynums Favor To Not Play, Teams Will Be Curious To See What He's Got, Eddie Curry Is Out Here Getting Steady Work EVERY Season You Think Anyone Gives A fukk About Bynums Kness? lol

Not Playing At All And Having Teams Think You're About To Crush The League With Your Resurgence On Some Story Book Ending shyt > Playing Like shyt In A Contract Season

Wont Shock Me At All If Philly Still Pays Him

Nobody...let me rephrase that...nobody with sense is gonna give this nikka that max with his history. Knees dont' just magically get better after all issues he's had. At this point demonstrating that he can stay healthy is more important than how he actually plays.
