What happened to that Howard movement a few years back?

they ended up getting like 3 of the top 75 recruits to seriously consider Them.

The HBCUs don't have the state of the art facilities, top recruiters, appealing geographical locations (most are in rural southern areas), or budgets to compete with those PWIs.

Telling a 17, 18, 19 year old kid you can come play here when they know they can go to a PWI and play in front of 100,000 fans in a stadium while their game is nationally televised with pro scouts watching from the stands and watching it on TV is tough sell.

This is not to mention those players are treated like royalty at those PWIs. Its a tough sell for kids getting courted by those schools that are consistently putting players in the league and competing in Power 5 conferences.

I keep saying ppl need to stop telling these 18 (really 15/16 year olds because that’s the age most of them commit) to go to hbcus. It’s just not a realistic feat for you to convince enough of them in large numbers to make any difference. Use that energy to go to these millionaire and billionaire athletes and entertainers to put some money up and build up a schools budget and facilities to be able to compete better on the recruiting front. That’s the only way a hbcu movement would happen otherwise it’s going be nothing but some cool shyt to say

Hbcus arr.horribly mismanaged and arguably just as anti black in course material and faculty as pwi.

Got to hbcus webpages and look at the facilty list.

They dont hire black americans or hbcu grads. All they want are indians, africans, and chinese and whites.

Theyll spend money funneling shyt to worthless board members from the.civil rights era, who hate the.students and wish they were with the white folks.

On top of that, hbcus still ezploit these kids like pwi. Its no better for them to be.ezploited by a lack puppet than a white person.

Pay these kids professionaly, fukk a pwi or hbcu

blue chip prospects are coming from highschools with better set-ups than the hbcu that would be trying to recruit them it's tough*
