cuz of posters like some in here swinging off his sack like people can’t push back on his opinion
Thats the main problem. nikkas on this board swear he's a GOAT when he has writer's block and he's lashing out smh

if YOU have nothing to say then fine, but there are several older artist that are putting out quality music. it's not sports

He isn't telling anyone else what to do or what music to listen to

What's annoying is yall getting your panties in a twist cause he doesn't want to make a rap album. Hes been saying the same shyt since 1998 but yall wanna be fake outraged like you dont understand what hes saying:unimpressed:
Its annoying. I dont care what or what he ain't telling people to do. Eventually u get tired of hearing wack ass opinions over and over.

compare making art to being a 50 year old boxer brehs :mjlol:

Could've sworn the coli just got done saying Dre is washed, Snoop needs writers, 50 can't flow anymore, Premier is washed, etc.

Most artists lose something as they get older the same way athletes do. The pen gets weaker, the voice changes, etc.

How many 50+ rappers are in your rotation? Yall name drop Nas and LL but how about the hundred other rappers who either stopped rapping entirely or you don't bother to listen to their new music. Most rappers quit making music but y'all mad at Dre for verbalizing what they all did.

There are certain artist that are exempt from the age thing. Jay Z is one of them. If Jay dropped an album tomorrow, everyone including Andre is checking for it. He's another one of those artist. Often times it feels like he has a superiority complex when it comes to rap.
He said that it's true for rap, rock, punk and pop

Are you cats listening to him or just moaning? :dahell:

Nas wrapped up two trilogies around 50 that was fire.

Pete Rock is in his 50s, u heard what he cooked up for Common????

Miles Davis was in his 40s when he dropped bytches Brew

D'angelo dropped Black Messiah at 40.

3000s verse on Kanye's life of the party, was one of the best guest appearances this decade. Hip-hop can/should be allowed to grow.

Art is still Art at the end of the day...I would have more 50+ rappers in my rotation if nikkas stopped overthinking it.

But he's being asked his opinion not forcing it on anyone. And the people mad KEEP clicking on the links to read, hear, and/or see him repeat what he has been saying for years and are expecting him to say or do something different. That is on ya'll. If you are mad or annoyed at something you could've avoided being mad or annoyed about, that's your fault.

You only named a handful of artists which is proving my point.

The vast majority of rappers aren't doing anything at 50 nor releasing their best work. There's been a stigma about old rappers and not being cool well before Dre said anything.

They arent doing anything after 50 BECAUSE of the stigma, not because the talent isnt there. When older rappers drop an album, we look at the streams, laugh and disregard the music. We the only genre that does that

Nas recent music stacks up against his early works (with the exception of Illmatic/IWW)

I dont fukk with Killer Mike but his recent work got heavy praise. that nikka is old

My favorite rapper is Mach Hommy... he gotta be 40+ dropping albums like Pray For Haiti.

Future is 41 right now lmaoooo

If we got rid of the "you 38 and you still rapping ugggggggg" and "old ass rappers you 44, im 24 i could shoot you and come back when im 44" etc, if we could dead that mentality you would see more old nikkas dropping fire music.

Nas, Killer Mike, Common, and LL Cool J put out some of the best albums i’ve heard the last few years.

Andre is full of shyt. Legend no doubt. But full of bullshyt
LL legit put out one of the best albums in his discography this year.

Andre has nothing left to talk about, which is fine, but just say that and move on already.

I don’t think anyone's mad at him.

:comeon:
I don’t think anyone's mad at him. I do think people just see through his bullsh*t now.

Another example. He said he was "done" with rapping a few years ago because he "ran out of things to say". Same year, he had like 7-8 features. He didn't run out of anything to say, he just doesn't feel confident in recording a solo because he knows it won't meet expectations. The problem with 3000, is that he's not honest about that. Just say you don’t think you can make that classic today. People would understand.

Instead, he's going on these age-related rants to try and shield what his issue really is. He's insecure about his ability to do what he used to do. That's fine. But don’t front and make it about things that don’t even exist. The pretending is what makes this corny. Just say "I feel old now and I don’t know if I can do this at the level people want me to". That's respectable.

But there are plenty of OG's dropping mad music and literally doing what he claimed older rappers aren't able to. Nas, Common, LL, Cube, Big Boi, Snoop, Rakim, KRS, G Rap, etc. haven't run out of things to say. All of the legends are still creating. He should just say that he ain't got it no more. Don’t make it about age because we see that that's not even remotely close to being true.

What rants??:dahell:I see a man calmly giving his perspective. You don't agree with it? Fine. But how is it a "rant"? :pachaha:

That stigma does not exist anymore.

Most of the old rappers are still rapping.

3k basically an exception with his perspective of not rapping because of his age.
