:pachaha:

You cats barely make threads about Big Boi and his music but rush in every 3K threads to make it platinum.

Stop it.

A lot of the sudden Big Boi love is due to cats beings mad at 3K

Tell em.

I don't make threads period

I speak on what's being discussed. This conversation was triggered by someone saying 3000 carried Big Boi :what:

I'm not mad at 3000, he's a legend and doesn't need to rap again. One half of the greatest rap duos to ever do it. But that's all he is... 1/2.

Nothing that Dre said was wrong. He’s right. You can’t force the greatness they were able to achieve at a certain point in their lives. That’s why you gotta take advantage of your youth. It’s hard to replicate that kind of energy the older you get.

This.

And I'm beginning to think a lot of us didn't really pay attention to Dre on the Kast albums or even interviews during the Aquemini era.

Said baby boy you're only funky as your last cut
You focus on the past your ass'll be a has but
That's one to live by or either that one to die to

kinda sour cause my favorite group ain't comin' wit' it
But I'm wit' ya you 'cause you probably goin' through it anyway
But anyhow when in doubt, went on out and bought it
'Cause I thought it would be jammin', but examine all the flawsky-wasky
Awfully sad and its costly but that's all she wrote
And I hope I never have to float in that boat
Up - creek "It's weak" is the last quote
That I wanna hear when i'm goin' down when all's said and done
And we got a new Joe in town
When the record player get to skippin' and slowin' down
All y'all can say is them n- earned that crown, but until then

^^^ this is him in 1998. Even then he didn't have plans to keep making OutKast albums.

It's the Pippen Problem... Nobody brings Pippen up on any GOAT list because he played with Jordan. If he had the exact same career, but on the Wizards, and 0 rings, he'd be still be respected more than he is right now

Big Boi is amazing.. But standing next to Dre, every time you getting outshined and it makes you look worse than you are... That's why Havoc had to start stepping those bars up
I think if big boi did more hooks he'd get recognized more, he did rosa parks hook and pretty much resigned from hook duty after that. But you can listen to his features, he's definitely no slouch.

Its hard for me to choose. I think its worth saying that Andre contributed to 5 out of the 13 songs on Speakerboxxx.

It would be interesting to hear a full Big Boi album with Andre on production. It probably won't happen but to me that could be more interesting than an official OutKast album at this point.
The love below was too experimental for me at the time, I was 13 and didn't really understand it. I do remember playing the fukk outta speakerboxxx front to back all the time tho. Even revisiting it as an adult I still don't understand the love below hype.

I'm not talking about you specifically. You might be one of those who really show love to Big Boi, but you're in a minority.

Most of the Big Boi love here is fake, it"s just anti 3K agenda

Leave him alone. He’s happy. I never even considered him in my top 100 list of rappers. His biggest hit is a 1950 sounding pop swing teeny bopper song. He knew they got lucky with Hey Ya and will never be that high again as OutKast.

Live your life 3000.

How many times do we need to interview him to hear he doesn’t want to rap? STFU and stop talking to this dude. Low key attention whore

He's not on social media and he only does an interview when he's promoting something which is like every other year but he's an attention whore :dahell:

He's just answering the questions he was asked. He didn't mention these things in the Nardwaur interview because they weren't brought up.

Dre just minding his business and staying positive but still got people mad.
