The Silva/Griffin fight is the closest thing I've seen to a supernatural force working through a human being. Rogan has said Silva is Neo in the Matrix and that's what that shyt looked like.

fukk I don't really want anyone in this fight to lose. I think Diaz is gonna get tossed in the bushes. :mjcry:

I don't think Diaz throws enough power to KO Silva, and I think Silva's footwork is too crazy to get those punches in bunches bombed on him. I know Diaz hasn't ever been KO'd before, but I think Silva is fire some next level laser guided missile and take him out. I don't think Diaz can take Silva down, and I doubt he'd even try. Maybe Silva's chin is shot, who knows.

I just want this fight to go into the 3rd round. I'll be happy with that. I don't want to see a 1st or 2nd round finish.

Yeah, unless Silva's chin is SHOT, I don't see him losing.

For 8 years, Anderson was Neo and the octagon was his matrix:to:

Man, maybe it's wishful thinking, but I want to believe he could get back to almost Neo status against the right opponent. I just think Weidman is his kryptonite. In the 1st Weidman fight my heart was with the SPider but my head was with Weidman. I thought Weidman would actually win by submission in the 2nd round. I think that was the official call I made. I never ever would've guessed Silva would get blasted like that.

I almost hope he does not try to run at the title, and I would love the UFC to just book him for some superfights at 185 and 205. Then again, who would the superfights be against, if not the champs or top contenders? I still wanna see Silva vs GSP but GSP wants no parts of that shyt, and he never did.

:whoa:

I have a feeling Silva is going to return like Kobe :to:

nah, Silvas last two loses were freak accidents, dude was showboating a lil too hard and Weidman got in a lucky punch

2nd fight, we all know what happened

Wouldn't surprised me at all if he came back and dominated.

Yeah the last two losses were a fluke imo as well

I meant more of in returning from a major injury and at that age...still going to be good but not ELITE :to: Hope I'm wrong though.

All I know his, those losses weren't really enough for anyone who draw any sort of conclusion, that's for sure. He gets caught flush while showboating and leaning back, and everyone's like OH shyt, SILVAS WASHED UP HIS CHIN IS SHOT!:gladbron: Then in the second fight, a one in a million type thing goes down with the leg break and once again OH shyt SIlVAS WASHED UP, WEIDMAN BROKE HIS LEG! HE PLANNED FOR THAT:gladbron:

:camby: We'll see for sure when he returns, bet he's barely lost a step :youngsabo: Silva's a different breed.

I'll give you that, the first one may have been a fluke :patrice:

That second fight though.....first round before the leg snap, weidman had anderson knocked from the clinch he just couldn't finish him on the mat. He would have finished him eventually

This is coming from a silva stan too :mjcry:

Anderson's loses to Weidman were not flukes.

snapping his leg in half was a fluke. but everything else, nah. as much as it pisses some of y'all off, weidman had his number. he's a big, strong guy who was trained well and he had the skillset, gameplan and discipline to win.

it was inevitable, especially at anderson's age. he didn't have the reflexes, speed or chin that he used to have. young blood caught up.

Anderson cost himself the first fight.

However, his second fight....def a fluke, or else you'd see that shyt going down WAYYYY more often. It's kinda like when Coleman beat Shogun in Pride and broke his arm.....

1st fight: Weidman was getting the better of Anderson and in the 2nd round, knocked him out. No fluke, although Anderson did pave the way for Weidman to get the KO.

2nd fight: One-sided domination that eventually ended with a freak accident. Only the injury was a fluke. Weidman proved in the first that he was quite clearly the better fighter.

Coleman/Shogun was completely different (other than the fact that both fights had freak injuries). From what I remember, Shogun got injured in the first minute or so of the fight. Nothing really definitive happened before the injury, the result was inconclusive. On the other hand, Weidman proved he was the superior fighter.
