Rewatching now and i honestly think that's the most minutes embiid has ever played in a row. I was surprised in regards to his stamina, dude played harder than I've ever seen him play before even in the playoffs against toronto last year. It's amazing when he doesn't take stupid ass 3's and stays in the paint how great he is. That post up on lebron and fadeaway was :wow:.

Team Giannis were easily the better defenders. The problem is that when they needed a bucket, there was only one player out there that could do so easily (Kemba), and he was stinking it up. Siakam should not have been in the game, that should've been Jimmy, if you keep Lowry for Def, take Kemba out for Tre Young, and take Embiid out for Gobert.

AGAIN both teams played THEIR STARTERS, starters who the fans/players voted for. Except for lowry and paul both teams went with defense and guys who are clutch over second year players who played on friday.

Kawhi didn't deserve MVP as much as CP3, but he's adding to his legacy. nikka has a trophy count of 7 now---->2 chips, 2 FMVPs, 2 DPOYs, and an ASMVP. I already think he's a Top 50 All-Timer (somewhere in that 40-50 range), but this looks impressive when compared to his peers:

14 LeBron (3 chips, 3 FMVPs, 3ASMVPs, 4 MVPs, ROY)
8 KD (2 chips, 2 FMVPs, MVP, 2 ASMVPs, ROY)
7 Kawhi
5 Steph (3 chips, 2 MVPs)
3 Westbrook (MVP, 2 ASMVPs)
2 Harden (MVP, 6MOY), CP3 (ASMVP, ROY), Giannis (MVP, MIP)

He's been an elite player for a lesser amount of time than both Harden and Steph, but has accomplished more. I still think Steph is probably the #3 player of this era for his influence, it's much greater than Kawhi's, but Kawhi is easily no less than the #4 guy of this era and is racking up legacy points by the year...

Watching this All-Star game, knowing he didn't do shyt in the 2nd half, I'll always feel he didn't deserve MVP, but the ASMVP is a legacy point. Can't deny that, everyone doesn't win one and when you already have GOAT points, it just adds to your resume...

klay has never been voted a starter and he won't even make it next year
its a new day in the nba, chris paul was a all star like every year then he missed the last 4 years
You don't have to be a starter to finish the game. Middleton was in the lineup to finish the game last year.

Just caught the common poem. Question to Chicagoans, is Wade really loved like this in the city? Is he considered a Chicago legend or hero? I was perplexed why he had so much shine in Commons poem.
No. We recognize he’s from here, but he played for Miami majority of his career. He didn’t come up in the Chicago public school circuit because he moved to Robbins when he was 13, and really nobody knew who he was until he showed out at Marquette his junior year.

D. Rose is the true Chicago legend. Won state titles in high school playing for Simeon. Almost won a national title at Memphis. Gets drafted number one by the Bulls. Won rookie of the year and MVP of the league in his 3rd season. If he would’ve been able to win a title here, he would be even more solidified than he is already. The only people you might see hating on Rose are white folks, wannabe white Hispanics and c00ns.

It was the wrong thing to do on team Giannis. The players wanted to win and the coach didn't give them the best opportunity to do so.

A simple fix would be that since most believe you shouldn’t win on a FT, all a FT should do is raise the target score. The winning team will still have to win on a FG, and the losing team would be penalized for fouling because they would just force themselves to overcome a bigger deficit.

For example, if the target score is 135, and the score is 133-130. If you foul the winning team and they hit both FTs, they’ve already reached the target, but you can’t win that way. If the losing team doesn’t score and you foul the winning team again and they hit FTs, the new target is now 137 for the losing team. The winning team can win on a FG, but the losing team has to make up the difference and still win on a FG.
