The mistake ppl make with Harden defensively is thinking not being good at defense = not being strong

If you want to exploit his dodgey defense by posting him up, well you're actually doing him a favor lol

His issue is he ball watches from the weakside and isn't the best moving side to side.

But if it's just about backing him down.. i mean breh ain't scrawny. Which is why Siakam had a harder time than he probably expected
Exactly, he is not a quick defender so you attack him off dribble

Just caught the common poem. Question to Chicagoans, is Wade really loved like this in the city? Is he considered a Chicago legend or hero? I was perplexed why he had so much shine in Commons poem.

I’m not from the go but he the most successful Chicago born player I think ever. Plus he just retired.

Kawhi didn't deserve MVP as much as CP3, but he's adding to his legacy. nikka has a trophy count of 7 now---->2 chips, 2 FMVPs, 2 DPOYs, and an ASMVP. I already think he's a Top 50 All-Timer (somewhere in that 40-50 range), but this looks impressive when compared to his peers:

14 LeBron (3 chips, 3 FMVPs, 3ASMVPs, 4 MVPs, ROY)
8 KD (2 chips, 2 FMVPs, MVP, 2 ASMVPs, ROY)
7 Kawhi
5 Steph (3 chips, 2 MVPs)
3 Westbrook (MVP, 2 ASMVPs)
2 Harden (MVP, 6MOY), CP3 (ASMVP, ROY), Giannis (MVP, MIP)

He's been an elite player for a lesser amount of time than both Harden and Steph, but has accomplished more. I still think Steph is probably the #3 player of this era for his influence, it's much greater than Kawhi's, but Kawhi is easily no less than the #4 guy of this era and is racking up legacy points by the year...

Watching this All-Star game, knowing he didn't do shyt in the 2nd half, I'll always feel he didn't deserve MVP, but the ASMVP is a legacy point. Can't deny that, everyone doesn't win one and when you already have GOAT points, it just adds to your resume...

The way the paint was packed, no touch fouls, and the struggle ppl had scoring was awe-worthy.

And as a result they basically took it back to street ball asics... i.e. throw it into the big man and post a smaller nygga up :russ:

Embiid backing down Lebron
Siakam backing down Harden
Posting up AD on Lowry for the win

Definitely one of those quarters you gotta watch again just to appreciate the ambiance and intensity

I read a stat that there were only 3 dunks in the 4th qtr

The paint became a wall in the 4th qtr:russ:

Harden is a solid 225-230lbs. He plays excellent post defense.

Each quarter is its own game with the fourth having no game clock and is played to first to 24. They essentially played 4 diff pick up games with money on the line for each game. If it were any regular allstar game from the past the intensity wouldn’t pick up till 5 mins left in the 4th.

My point is essentially what they are saying is "we only gonna play hard with a game-to style" They're really saying they can't play hard for the clock. Players dictate the pace of the game. If they wanted to play hard for the clock, they would. If they want to lolligag with this style, they still will. It's ALWAYS on the players.

Myself, I would rather they inverse it....Game point based for the 1st 3 qtrs, and put the clock fo the 4th...AND keep it East vs West.
