when i think small business i think of my old boss, fat vinny who made motherfukkers work 50 hrs a week for minimum wage no overtime (which is the equivalent of working to be poor), complaining about how he makes no money but buys 2 brand new lincoln navs cash and is on vacay all summer. biggest conniver i ever met. so yea, fukk em. pos rep

infact every small business type job i ever had was some bullshyt with self entitled people who thought they could rule your world.

you have a positive small business story?

Frankly I can't think of any off the top of my head. Especially since I recently moved back to the city. People aren't even paid a liveable wage. Nothing but greed and big ego's.

When I've had businesses I always made sure people were overpaid.
I'm very frugal, but I have a very real understanding of life and appreciate the people around me.

At the same time the cost of owning an operating a business can't be downplayed. It's extremely expensive in NYS.

It really upsets me.

My family owns a small business, one positive thing is the help we give workers on a individual basis. Advances on checks, Gas money, we put up with a lower quality of worker as well............. Just saying.... lol

Education is a better alternative. Raising the minimum wage is a better alternative. Some of these small businesses need to go away and die is a better alternative.

Then again, its not the business itself, its the nikkas running it. I use to work at another airport parking facility. The bus drivers, valet and cashiers all made between $8 and $10 an hour tops. The supervisors made $13 starting out and everyone got a bullshyt 5 percent pay increase

The assistant managers made 53k a year and the general manager made 79k a year starting. :wtf: and they didn't do shyt but put most of the workload on the supervisors and kiss corporate ass.

shyt is set up to be top heavy with the pay.

And the have medical benefits where you have to give up 20 percent of your paycheck and it offers shytty coverage with the hopes of as little people as possible signing up so they won't have to contribute.

McDonlads is for high school/college students. If you in your late 20's working as a regular employee at mickey d's you lost.

You make good points. But I've worked for some pretty shytty big companies too. I dont think large multi-national corporations are the answer. The amount of power they have over our politicians, resources, and economy gives them too much power. I mean, it's large corporations that usually dictate our governments policies.

This consolidates wealth into the hands of a few, not to mention they make people more expendable. (there's 1000 peons ready to take your job) I think the capitalism the founding fathers had in mind was something completely different. People owning their own businesses is what this country was built on.

Dont get me wrong they serve their purpose, especially when it comes to production, and the abiliies to produce "rare" items. Among other services, but I think we need a better balance, more protections for small businesses. Make it easier for the average American to start, and successfully operate a small business.

I aint trying to work for the Man all my life cuz... :stylin:

So Mr.Vagina is blaming small business for the working wage? I don't think he is educated on how the system works here in America.

I am educated on how the system works. Capitalism and Credit or in other words, compete to obtain things we cannot readily afford without borrowing. Most americans work to pay back what they owe, be it student loans, credit cards, car note, house note, medical bills etc. Then you got jobs that don't pay shyt. You work twice as hard for little to no $$$. Just enough to get you to the next pay check, once you add in food and other basic shyt.. you're sol on savings. The system as you like to call it is rigged.
