I shouldn't have clicked that video. I thought I unwatched this thread. Didn't make it more than 5 minutes.
Seriously how is it the Left is just so extreme and everyone hates their policies.
But the Right gets to actively take away freedoms and that is not considred extreme at all.

The common person isn't all that much engaged in following politics. They don't research the impact of a candidate's policies that got implemented after being elected.
Example people blamed Biden for inflation that was the result of COVID. Had Trump been re-elected that inflation still would have happened and it wasn't just in the US anyway.
If you've ever worked a job where you have to deal with the general public you'd come to understand people are lazy and some not insignificant number are also stupid. They'll take the ready made opinions cable TV and online influencers hand them rather than expend effort analyzing and thinking for themselves.
I get that about the general public. I'm directing this at people like Ana, like Bill Maher etc. Who know their audience is more engaged than most. The left is always too extreme in their framing. But forcing bibles or the ten commandments to be posted in schools isn't too extreme. Rolling back women's contraceptive rights to the point that IVF embryos that are damaged is considered murder isn't too extreme?
That's what annoys me more than the general public. These people will frame both sides are bad but the left is too extreme because of x nominal issue. But the right doing actual legislation that is extreme not a peep about that.

You don’t have to look any further than HL to see how posters who are “blue MAGA” get degraded because we want the candidate whoever is the nominee regardless of their policy get elected because they are more left than the Republican nominee.
Everyone on the left needs to be “Blue MAGA” once the nominee is decided because whoever is the democrat is infinitely more preferable than Trump or the generic Republican

A lot of these "ordinary people" she's speaking about have fukked up views on race, immigration, personal rights, and a host of other issues. A lot of them are hateful towards others. She's trying to normalize them because they aren't wealthy or powerful.
It's kinda sad to see her try and talk them up.
