so im kind of over this "centrist" dems lost the election - no they didnt - LIBERALS be it very left sorta left and CENTRIST did not show up to vote in any more numbers than what they did previously - the rate of participation among ALL eligible voters was still fukking low.... the other side just turned up in greater numbers....

Large chunks of this country vote against their own self interest. Some of the poorest states in the union vote republican and put ghouls in power that take care of the rich and corporations and fukk over the poor.
For 2 cycles now dems have been trying to appeal to moderates and the center and it's not working. Republican voters fall in line. Republicans have dogma like abortion, religion, subtle and not so subtle racism that keep their core in line voting for them. The dems don't have anything like that. Republican voters ultimately will vote for whoever can get their agenda passed as Trump is evidence of. If they don't have the right candidate a decent chunk of democratic voters won't even bother showing up.
Yall want to blame the left but the truth is corporate democrats run that party and nothing goes down they don't approve of and running against Trump they lost twice and barely beat him once by probably under 100K votes. It took an act of God to pull that off. The democratic party is done. Their tried and true voters are turning against them and party leadership clearly has no answers on how to get them back.
When you lay out the policies the left wants they usually get majority support across the country. The reality is republicans and democrats will work against getting some of those policies passed though. Extremism (Trump) rises out of the republican party and leadership embraces it and figures out how to get what they want from it. Extremism rises out of the democratic party (Bernie) and the party will do everything in their power to stuff it instead of package it to the masses and capitalize on it. That's why the republican party has the presidency, both houses of congress, and a majority on the supreme court. Their leadership is about getting shyt done over everything else. Democratic leadership is about maintaining the status quo over everything else they'd rather lose than give that up.
