These white liberals don’t give af about black people. They marginalize our struggles as “petty issues” and focus on the “big picture.”

EDIT: A lot of you are taking this post out of context - fukk Trump and any Republican period. In the history of the country they have never done anything worthwhile for Black Americans and literally exist to exploit and destroy us as a whole.

But you gotta acknowledge how white liberals will focus on issues that affect them (climate change) vs issues that don’t such as systemic inequality.

This has been going on for a long time. Police brutality is now finally being addressed because some white people are caught in the crossfire.

Liberals due have an issue with this. However I think the current time were living in requires ALL of us to see the forest from the trees. None of the issues we want addressed will be acknowledged under facism. And that is where were headed. And that is not being hyperbolic.
I was Bernie or Bust for the longest but I am now seeing just how ugly things will get under another 4 years of Trump. And i dont care if anyone disagree or thinks i am over exaggerating

Americans have no perspective for fascism at all.

I mean we all learned about Hitler Nazi Germany in the Holocaust from middle school all the way from college but I don't think a lot of Americans absorbed the lessons from that tale in history cuz here we are as close to Fascism in America as possible and Americans are scared to call it what it is.

Only people who are survivors of fascism or whose families fled fascist countries would know what's up.

That's why me as a Nigerian I've been trying to warn this board for years of what's coming cuz that's what happened to Nigeria in the 70s

What is this lady talking about???

The Democratic Party needs some big reworking for sure but at this point, we need all we can take to make sure Trump doesn't win another four years and add more irreversible damage to the country.

Americans have a very miopic education regarding the rise of Hitler and fascism. The only thing I learned about Nazi Germany were the concentration camps, how terrible the Nazis were and how America saved the day. What's missing in our education is in depth analysis on HOW Hitler and other fascists of the time rose to power. How they manipulated the institutions and exploited deep held resentments in society. Also, because American exceptionalism is so widely taught in schools most us have a blind faith in our institutions, so much so that we disengage ourselves from political process altogether.
What we fail to realize is that Democracy is an ongoing project that must be maintained. Otherwise, people with bad intent can hijack it and manipulate it to suit their own agenda.
And this is exactly whats happening in our current day. I don't compare Trump to Hitler, but there are similarities in his ability to exploit weakened institutions and ignite the deep seated rage in a confused and largely uneducated populace.

:russ:For the longest time I did not know that when America actually landed in mainland Europe Germany was close to defeat because the Soviet Union threw 20 million bodies at em. 90% of all Nazi casualties were at the hands of Russians and we just swooped in for a few months barely lost any lives and were like :whew:this was tough.

One thing I have always said on this board is tbe only demographic in America wifh experience with fascism (aside from Jews) is African Americans.

What else would you call the experience after slavery of black codes, jim crow, and open racial segregation/apartheid? Fascism.

These white americans are clueless. Look at how many so called "liberal" and "progressive" pundits have been handling Donald Trump with kid gloves cause they give him the benefit of the doubt.

In all honesty though this era of pre-authoritarian Republicans was inspired by Richard Nixon and continued onwards.

She’s talking about not having physical homes he’s talking about the city that home was in now being underwater. These idiots don’t understand the hurt hurtling our way if we don’t take drastic measures. I’m sure this chick thinks she can just live white adjacent unaffected like her white friends if Trump wins again. Spoiler alert she won’t be able to:ufdup:
