For Republicans complaining about Big Tech, point out that their justices on the Supreme Court will make it harder to break these giants up.

I fear congress pushing through a restructuring of the court on a strictly partisan vote, giving Americans a Supreme Court that looks unlike anything they grew up with, and unlike the institution we’ve had for more than 240 years will destroy the legitimacy of the court...
Turning it into a true extension of whoever controls the senate.
Rethugs could run on "setting things right" next cycle and really f*ck the country.:mjcry:
Ain’t no millennials or gen Z (or gen x) crying over an expanded court and boomer about to die. FOH with this strawman.

Hope they add term limits to the court while they’re at it

The SC has been fine IMO(I'd even say its been good) and hasnt shown any signs of needing restructuring:yeshrug:

Ill ask you as well, what series of recent SC decisions make you believe the institution is compromised or in need of reform?

Confirmations could use some tweaking to make it less political, but restructuring a functioning SC seem like partisan nonsense untethered from reality.
And I already said it’s fine in your opinion because you’re a conservative and your people are the ones in power on the Court. If the shoe was on the other foot you’d hold the opposite position, which we know because your side has already done changed the rules and you didn’t complain.

@19 No Covid already listed a few cases but here’s a few more:

The seven recent supreme court rulings that will reshape America | US supreme court | The Guardian

Regardless, that’s not the barometer we have to use just because you keep repeating it, especially with an ACA case coming up in less than a month. People are worried about upcoming cases with a 6-3 conservative court that doesn’t represent the views of the country. The Right disregards all norms when it benefits them so it’s time for the Dems to wield power on behalf of the majority rather than let a conservative minority roll back protections. Simple as that.

Also this idea that the Supreme Court has ever been a less partisan branch needs to die. It has always been a political body. I mean, members are literally appointed by presidents depending on their politics. It’s the reason why we can typically predict which way a justice will vote. They’re politicians too.

History shows that conservative appointed justices doesnt equal conservative decisions :manny:
Any recent examples of the SC doing the bold?

Sounds like this is mostly about the ACA:ehh:which the conservative court ruled in favor of... I oppose the ACA so :yeshrug:I hope packing the court doesnt happen

People are tripping that they want the court to expand to 11. Conservatives will still have a majority. The time has passed for playing fair. Expand the courts to 13 fukk that weak 11 shyt. Thats why democrats always gets slapped around playing fair.

She is terrible, and in some ways he's even worse than Brett Kavanaugh. She would most likely vote conservative everytime like Clarence Thomas.
