And I’m from DC. None of these nikkas can tell me anything about Rich or Ameriie. I know people that are affiliated with them both. They both have origins not that far from where I have origins.
I can speak on stories about how Rich got his major breakthrough linking up with Ameriie in a McDonald’s parking lot but that’s neither here nor there. They didn’t talk for a while after the Beyoncé shyt because he sold her entire sound out. That’s why he didn’t have production credits on any of Ameriie’s shyt after Touch. They fell out. It was only a few years ago when they reconnected and he produced some shyt for the EP she released like two years ago.
Like I said in the other thread, Beyoncé stay with a copyright lawsuit so we already know she has no original bone in her body.
Exactly how did Bey still Amerie’s sound when she did it before her?

Beyoncé didn’t do it before her.
Ameriie had a whole debut album in 2002 full of Rich Harrison beats.
Amerie wasn’t doing the Go-Go sound until after Bey did it. Bey had that sound in 2002 with Work it Out (done by the Neptune’s) and 2003 with Crazy In Love. Amerie decided to use that go-go influence with Touch in 2005.
Most of these urban artists use the same producers, but that has nothing to do with sound/musical elements. That’s what I’m not really getting with this opinion that most people believe.

Need You Tonight, Got To Be There, Why Don’t We Fall In Love (Richcraft Remix), And Hatin On You we’re definitely go go influenced.

Nope. I really don’t see how people keep trying to say this. Work It Out was still out before Amerie thought about doing that sound. It’s not Bey’s fault that Amerie’s career wasn’t as successful as it should’ve been. Y’all need to stop blaming her for every other female artists downfall.
