You can buy a cheap hooptie but still need to pay for maintenance or invest time and energy into fixing it yourself.

Also I don't think most Americans are intentionally buying these cars at higher prices a lot of times the Dealership Mark up the car more than its worth with a bunch of fees. Even if you negotiate and haggle you still can end up getting yo pockets ran

I think there's a middle ground here.
Plus these crazy high interest rates. Poorer people with bad credit and no good public transportation almost don’t have a choice

People are in competition with themselves

Going out here getting a $50,000 car while putting only $2,000 down so they can rush onto the streets and say “ look at me ya’ll , im on the same level as so and so”

Then they calling around asking for light, gas , phone bill money” or working a extra 30 hours just to have that extra 200 dollars to make it for the month

Just save up and buy a $2k-$4k junk car. Preferably a Toyota.
Maintenance for a junk car will still run your pockets
I have a two cars but drive my beater daily
I’ve sunken 7 grand into my 2010 Pathfinder in the last 5 months
Everything from brakes, starter, camshafts, spark plugs, whole intake and now I need a new catalytic converter
So no you can’t just buy a beater and be okay
Cars break down and need shyt fixed
Buying a new car and buying a old one will have you both fukked up
You just see the new car fukkery up front but an old car comes with just the amount of fukkery
Even if you know a good honest mechanic
Then these insurance companies are big stepping with these egregious prices
I really question how some of you nikkas live
I also find it funny in an ironic kinda of way
You nikkas hate republicans but use their same talking points when threads come up of Americans struggling knowing what everybody is facing outside at the moment
But I’m the paag loving c00n :dead:

Nikkas don't want to be responsible. You know you are supposed to be taking your car to get serviced once/twice a year. Tires should last you 5 years. Brakes and rotors don't fukk up that often. Transmission fluid has to get drained every couple years. Filters have to get changed, etc. but it's all manageable imo.

Point is, nikkas got money for everything except the stuff that matters.
Riding on unmatching tires......which does more long-term damage to your car, which results in more costs down the line. They catch a flat, then get a 40 dolla holla from a Mexican tire spot and never replace it. Car not even a year old.

Folks out here move sloppy af.

Finally got my Honda fixed (insurance had it as a total loss :pacspit: ) but bought a used car that should be more reliable. Both wifey and I's cars are 2010s so might not have much shelf life left.
