shyt was terrible. And I was referring to the Juba thing in a greater context cause they claim that there was a sniper they were hunting but they obviously flubbed it.

The state-side scenes were supposed to be the real issues and they straight skimmed it.

And for 2 hours, the movie could have done A LOT more. They packed too much action in there.

They didn't touch on any of the shyt that happened to him when he left the battlefield...thats what I really wanted to see.

Meh give it a solid 3.5 mics. Like others have said pacing was really weird, and to be honest I was bored by the 3rd tour. Just wanted to see him get the other Sniper. Who was a really interesting character. Wonder if his shyt is real :lupe:

Same. The movie honestly felt like a real life version of the movie the Germans made in Inglorious Basterds. There were flashes of greatness with the scenes towards the end when he came n/h home, but like you said they basically skimmed it. I'm still disappointed as fukk. We usually get one or two war movies a year and this could've been a really good one.

I've known about dude way before he got killed so to me a lot of this shyt is just SUPER poorly done.

I liked IB though to be honest. It was unique and witty...and i wasn't supposed to take it seriously.

This was just republican porn all over again.

And the movie just ends with "oh yeah he dies...AMERICA!"

Hell, i'm pretty damn jingoistic myself (online that is :mjpls:) but this was just face-palm worthy.

White people are gonna eat this shyt up though. Oh well.

This is DEFINITELY wasting space on nominee lists though.

Ehh, sometimes it's better not to know shyt about "True Stories". I don't know much and I don't plan on learning about his true story. I'd rather just take the film as a film :manny:

Because, undoubtedly the more you know the more you'll see flaws and Hollywood touch ups.

Lone Survivor was WAY better than this.

I think Selma will prolly get more traction for best picture considering the subject matter. Don't think it wins anything tbh. Cooper was good but no where near best actor worthy, but he'll prolly get the nod.

If this movie wins any awards it would probably be the WOAT oscar winner in recent memory.
