Was watching it with the wife and she couldn’t finish it towards the end when he started going in detail about how he killed the kids
Yeah thats shyt is so fukking sad. This happened here in Colorado obviously a huge story here but the whole body cam footage was crazy watching that last year, this whole story has been told quite a bit, I won't watch the documentary, I have 2 daughters myself and that man just digusts me so much I would probably rage kill him myself.

Y’all think he was working out extra hard leading up to the day because he knew he’d have to carry a dead body?

No he started working out way before he murdered them or begun his affair. It was his wife that encouraged him to lose weight and even helped by providing him patches that stave of hunger. That was the product she sold for the company she worked for.

my take on this is he wanted to be with the younger sidepiece, but there was NO WAY he could survive a divorce without coming out broke as shyt. they already had financial issues, and it said that they had like a total of $900 in all their bank accounts combined along with having just filed bankruptcy a couple years earlier. maybe in his warped mind, killing them all was the ONLY way to be free of any financial burden of a family. :snoop:
I thought the same.

it's crazy how much of a similar situation I know to this. I can't believe it didn't make national news. My mentor and his wife were pregnant with a 2nd child, and he had a younger side piece. He shot her in the stomach and tried to make it look like an accident/suicide (she had bad depression and at first didn't want the new baby.) The pregnancy actually pushed all of her vital organs out of the way, and she wouldn't bleed to death. After she'd been shot with a .45 hollow point for 6-7 hours, she said, "I'm not going to die anytime soon and they'll know it was murder, and you also can't shoot me twice and get away with it. If you call 911 I'll say it was an accident."

They did emergency surgery to deliver the baby, and they noticed there was already healing and clotting from the gunshot wound, so they knew she'd been shot hours before 911 was called. She took a couple days to come to, and another couple days before she said what actually happened. He swore that he came home and found her shot, and to this day he swears he didn't do it. The baby ended up dying a few weeks later, and he was charged with 1st degree murder of the unborn baby, attempted 1st degree murder on the wife, and kidnapping of the wife.

He's in prison serving life with no parole, and his last appeal just failed. So he's gonna die in prison. I was in their wedding. Crazy shyt. I still can't believe it happened. So much of Chris' behavior in this Netflix doc reminded me of the guy I knows' behavior in the week after the shooting before he wads charged.

People are capable of anything. This lady was pretty bossy and intense. She reminded me a lot of Shanann. But no matter how crazy someone drives you, I don't understand why you would think you could get away with murder. I'm pretty sure the percentage of spouses that get away with murder has to be pretty close to 0%.

Honestly I think it was just to be fit for the new girlfriend, She seemed like she was in good shape, and maybe inspired him to get in good shape too. And some people also get very OCD when they lose a lot of weight and get in good shape about keeping it up. Also it may have been a way for him to not deal with the unhappiness of his marriage. Just zone out and work out.

But it definitely either started for the side piece, or happened right after he linked up with her.

A lot of y’all who shyttin on da wife must’ve not paid attention to the beginning. His poor wife had Lupus which is a cruel disease that messes up your body. That girl was insecure about her looks and her disease. Went thru a few relationships that didn’t work out, most likely because of the lupus.....then she fines Watts who she thought was a dude who accepted her and her lupus. How u come away with “She was a bytch” after watching her spill her guts about have lupus and all the issues that come with that is crazy

I have 2 friends with Lupus, but even then I kind of thought she was a bytch. However, a lot of people are bytches. Still gotta communicate and work through it, or get a divorce. I'd never in a million years say her being kind of a bytch is even close to an excuse to hurt her.

I also felt bad because it seemed like she started doing some self-reflecting and realized that she came off as being a bit bytchy and possibly demeaning towards him. She wrote such a nice letter to him and was clearly wanting to put effort into making things work out.

Yeah I totally see how her constant social media vlogging obsession could get annoying quick
(:whoa:doesn't mean she deserved to die). Just shows again how much people live for social media while their reality is a completely different story.

I'm shocked they didn't mention that they had been swimming in debt with him being the main breadwinner. They filed for bankruptcy with just one child and she lost her job and was accumulating medical bills due to her lupus. She got a MLM job (which are basically legit pyramid schemes) that might have been more facade than actual income.

.

Wow there we go.
Those MLM people are very cult like and all of them are broke! but they have to blog and lie to sell the lifestyle.
i.e “I am making a fortune working for Amway / Arbonne / Herbalife ...join the team and you can too”

MLM is about building a staff pyramid, not selling the product & when you join; you have an outlay of 500 - 1000 dollars PRE any salary.

This was incredibly well put together. Using first person police cameras and home video yet still felt like a seamless movie.

This is a sickening story though. Really uneasy feeling after watching this.

Neighbor called it though “he never loads up the truck from the front of the house and he’s acting strange, very talkative”

Just watched this earlier. It was very well put together and very telling how from the beginning the neighbor said how Chris was acting funny. Very sad how he killed the kids and then tried to put it on his wife.

On the flipside, from my own experiences when dealing with family and from what I have seen from afar, people who put EVERYTHING on social media like they're family is so perfect it is usually the opposite..

The wife had lupus and was very demanding it seems. Her husband was a psychopath and in debt...Just cant get over how he showed very little remorse about killing his daughters like that..

This is an interesting watch as well, talks about how his confession took the spotlight off the mistress completely. There's proof that she lied to the cops about a few things, and hints that she knew more about what Chris was planning/did as well:

Lies:

- lied about how much she knew of Chris' relationship.
- lied about how close they actually were (he had the key to her appartement in his pocket when he disposed of his fam.
- lied about how she was trying to get Chris to reconcile with his wife.

Hints:

- completely scrubbed her phone and her closest friends phone before talking to cops.
- googled other mistresses who were involved in legal cases and googled how much she could make in a book deal.
- Chris neighbor pointed out that there was a different car, not Chris', at the house the night of the murder. Car fits the description of her car.
- her phone was pinged that night in the area as well, even though she doesn't live close to them.
- Chris had sent her a pic one of one of his kids wrapped in a blanket "for fun" and asked her what she thought.
- she told him to analyze a Metallica lyric talking about "can't kill my family".
- Chris once called her the devil when talking to his prison shrink.
