They better offer up more perks if they’re thinking of jacking up prices, ie in-seat ordering of food and alcohol. After going to Alamo Drafthouse going back to these basic theater chains is

I wrote in the other thread, that every time I see a movie at an AMC, it's pretty grim, the theaters are like Phantom of the Opera status now.

The employees are checked out, the theaters are empty, you can see the money being lost daily. It's pretty bleak. I hate going to those theaters, I'm always a little surprised when they ask me "where do you want to sit" and I want to say the theater is empty! Do we really need to do this?

We only have 1 theater in my city and it is an AMC one.

I prefer going to Harkins over AMC (IYKYK), but i've seen probably 1000 movies at my local AMC

if anything this is the year to try it since 2023 is packed with movies
I hate my local Cinemark and I only go to IMAX or AMC
I'm only going to see like 2 or 3 movies in theaters this year anyway
