I will stream most shyt, but there's rare exceptions. I don't give a fukk what kind of high quality system you got a home. There's no home theater experience in America fukking with watching Avengers Endgame on IMAX day 1 in a soldout theater
I see your point but I want to add even certain smaller releases or art house films are better in person. I remember seeing Inherent Vice a day after I took shrooms in a very small theatre in Portland where what felt like an entire back row was smoking weed openly in the theater. People were laughing, joking at the right moments, being quiet at the right moments it was a memorable experience you could never replicate at home. I remember seeing Get Out at a packed out $3 theatre in a nearby small town with a mixed audience, you could feel how certain lines and jokes resonated with different sections, people talking shyt, that's special. I used to go to the theater every week in the years before covid, the communal nature of watching a movie in person is irreplaceable no matter what type of TV or projector you have.
