Her family isn't Creole though. She doesn't have Creole roots so that statement is a fabrication. So "colorism" can't explain why some of her family didn't attend. :dead:


I was about to ask Creole? I guess I never heard this before, and most Creole folks are mad cool with blacks. Its not even a thing really.

Im half creole. tho my pops was born in cuba. (his moms is french)

and err its just her fam. not sure why anyone would think an entire people would think one way because of isolated incidents. people need to learn to stop shoe boxing folks. course creoles are coo with blacks.

my dad married an african and had me.

No it didn't. French and Portugese are Latin languages so they have similar words. Creole is a French word and applies to that subset, but mostly in America and parts of the Carribean. I have never heard it used in any other way. I think Rose is misrepresenting her family's reasons; just whom in her family attended and for what reasons (or not).
