Jury is deliberating..
Both sides agreed to take to criminal negligent homicide off the books, it doesn't carry a lot of time. In the end this case came down to the DA trying to prove guyer's thought process..It's just a laundry list of things she did wrong. Go back and check my posts from the beginning, the DA at the time DID NOT want murder chargers immediately.
The union stepped in and got the texas rangers involved to make the water murky. Officer Armstrong and others were the ones pushing to get the case in another county. Officers in the unit(black & white) thought this was asinine what she did and they didn't want their union money going towards lawyers to help her.
There was heavy talk of a plea deal at first but the attorneys took it trial because the burden of proving she got off work to murder Bothem was on them. But in TEXAS, murder one does NOT have be premeditated....
Again her attorneys tried to make it as vague as possible, but telling her not to wear makeup, cry on the stand, etc... The damn lead DET was taken off the damn case by faith johnson the old DA, he wanted murder charges along with a list of other crimes.. Its just crazy the depts some went in trying to convince us that piss is the same as lemonade..
The jury can ONLY convict on murder or manslaugher and then it will probably up the judge for sentencing.. My gut tells me along with the racism in this country that it will be manslaughter that carries 5-99, she will probably get 8-15.. The murder charge can carry life but we know she wont get that. I also don't expect an hung jury in the sense of getting her off but they may have to decide between murder and manslaughter...
We shouldn't be on pins and needles hoping for justice, that demon should and will pay for what she did...

My guess is the jury comes back with a guilty verdict for manslaughter then it's going to be up to the sista to give her the max 20 years.

her being a cop is really irrelvant. She was off-duty(so a regular person), this wasn't an issue where she was on call and shot a suspect.
She was a regular person who walked into a persons house and killed them.

I think they will come back with a decision tomorrow or Wednesday, but that's just my guess. I'm just praying the black people on the jury have alpha personalities and put pressure on the holdouts.
I dont hope for that. If the white people feel like that, they'll be more likely to see it racially moreso than already, and be challenged to go soft on her.
By law they shouldn't be able to convict on manslaughter either. That charge wasn't included from the beginning for a valid reason and should have never been added. Should've been removed along with negligent homicide.
